This time we walk around the Little Venice of France...Colmar. (well not much choice seeing as we couldn't find our car) We tour a medieval castle - spot a Scooby Doo van and find Oddie's Bistro, the question also begs to be asked...why do people wear hats indoors?
People wear hats indoors for two reasons: 1.) it's the easiest and safest way to carry it, and 2.) "hat hair". I agree with you, by the way. When I go to family restaurants in the US, almost all the men are sitting there in baseball caps. Not only are they wearing them indoors, they wear them while eating! I cringe.
I enjoy your filming style. I watch a travel video to SEE the place. You speak in the background. That is good because it reminds me of watching real-life home videos and narrating them alongside your friends at home as you watch together. Very enjoyable.

"We fry, you die". 😂 I love the old cobblestone streets and antique shops full of French historical objects. Those colorful houses with the apparent wooden beams are called maisons a colombages and are typical of the region. Thank you for the wonderful tour.

It's quite understandable, but if you can do it. There comes a time when it's not possible anymore such is life. I'm Danish, so travel is not that hard we have 5 weeks vacation + public holidays. When summer comes provincial cities are pretty desolate (somewhat exaggerated).
I love your voice. It's so nice to watch videos without someone yelling, and I really enjoyed seeing inside the antique shop. I try to avoid them to save myself from splurging, so this was a vicarious thrill. Also the abandoned French house was a nice little fantasy.

Plan in life find multi millionaire with a heart condition and no family whose will leaves everything to me. The go to this area and buy all the bears, toys , gnomes and oh so much more. It is so beautiful. I was curious about the building which had chairs amongst other things hanging on the building. Having had a school trip to France which no one enjoyed I would have loved to visit here. Being a Brit in America I miss all the old towns and buildings and churches and shops that are very few and far around. I especially miss Winchester and Salisbury. Thank you for another great post.

I love ALL that you post, usually! I love your trips! I know I told you my Army son, wife and new baby girl got to travel a bit while stationed in Germany. They went by bus and train, to Paris and to Venice. My granddaughter was born there! So, I went there to be with her while he was in Pakistan, I think, during that earthquake recovery. Anyway, it makes me want to visit these places too! P. S. I finally got my mugs for my son's upcoming 40th birthday! I know he will like them!
I spent all my summers as child in Germany, very close to the French boarder. That abandon building you were looking at reminded me of my grandmothers sisters house. It was not uncommon in villages like that for homes to have small court yards as most had one pig, one dairy cow, some chickens and a horse and cart for hauling hay and grain. One home they lived in and the other a business. My grandmothers sister had restaurant and pub. You hardly ever see cars as they walk everywhere and have awesome public transportation.
