Juliana Rodrigues I think it would be hard to wash these while they're in. It probably would make them loosen and frizz. If you are trying to do these I would suggest washing your scalp with something itch relieving (example: head & shoulders shampoo) before installing these. Most people only wash once a week anyway so she probably doesn't wash them
the front of my hair is so loose that I needed a little more than the product to get it to curl up and hold the shape of the twist. its not necessary for everyone though which is why I didn't mention it.
