This girl has range. You just have to listen to the rest of their music to agree. You got black metal sound here and the next song you hear is symphonic metal
Thought the same thing. Came across them in suggestions and went down the rabbit hole lol. One second, she's sounding like Alissa White-Gluz(her growls aren't as powerful as Tatiana or Angela Gossow) and then the next she's sounding like Annette Olzon or Christina Scabbia.
@@Chrisstrohm14 I believe she said her biggest influences are dimmu borgir and "fleshgod", so think black symphonic. All the members o the band are classically trained in Boston, however, and have their own influences that they bring to the writing. The fact that all of their albums are connected concept albums , comes mainly from their guitarist I believe.
What a fricken time to be alive. I feel incredibly lucky to live on this planet at the same time as music like this. My brain still can’t comprehend just how good and satisfying that growl on “dream” is towards the end of the song. Superb. The whole song is superb, but from “the sleep I longed for [...]” all the way until the end is what really does it for me. This has to be in my top 5 Seven Spires songs.
I don't know of a singer who can more skillfully layer and harmonize with their own voice. These barks and high pitched belts are really something to behold.
Agreed my favorite metal genres are either Power/Symphonic or Black/Death and I've also been into strong female lead singers so this band is everything I love about metal all rolled together into one band! I can't believe I've been so out of the loop on them!
Just discovered this band because I am going to see Eluvetie in March and they are an opener. I am so excited!! Been in love with type of music for 20 years now. So looking forward to this!!! This is my new favorite band!!!
Adrienne Cowan has actually stated that Dimmu Borgir was one of her primary influences in her music. In case you were unaware, Cowan has actually done vocal covers of at least two Dimmu Borgir songs (that I know of). She did a vocal cover of The Serpentine Offering, and she was featured on a full band cover of Progenies of the Great Apocalypse.
They sound like a good band with a promising future, Adrienne is great she's what brought me into this band . First time heard her cover for Serpentine offering of Dimmu she was epic !! > I sensed that great talent in her ...all the best guys .
Sascha Paeth: So you want this how heavy? Seven Spires: Yes Sascha Paeth: I have never went this close to black metal before. Dimmu: There is a first time for ever thing.
I love the contrast to the light and uplifting "succumb" I think this album is going to tell a great story. My second most anticipated album release of the year after Nightwish's new album.
@@tomvandenburgh April 18th with Insomnium and August 20th with Amaranthe. Both shows are in Maryland. They're playing with Insomnium at the Gramercy on March 13th. You should go!!
Oh my fucking god, I can't believe you made me cry at 2:43 , this is just too good. Same emotion from 'Burn'. I love Dimmu Borgir and pirate themes, this band is honestly a fucking blessing, thank you
Man, everything I’ve heard from Adrienne Cowan/Seven Spires so far has been simply amazing! Really love the keyboards/orchestration and of course that majestic singing voice. So refreshing hearing something new and exciting ^_^
Oh yeah, there's so much of the old Cradle of Filth in this song - absolutly perfekt. Adrienne is a freaking dark angel. Hope we will hear a lot more of this awesome stuff. 🤘
Trato de seguir a esta banda tienen mucho que dar! Pero faaaa que melodía, que arreglos, que voz que le pone esa mina!!! Quedé Totalmente fascinado!!!🤘🤘🤘
I love this because it is so much more approachable than a lot of metal. Just like some Jazz is just too “outside” and complex to enjoy. Seven Spires is melodic and listenable, and the songs are well crafted. Great work !
You might dig early Septicflesh. Ophidian Wheel, A Fallen Temple, that general era of Septicflesh was fucking beautiful. The new shit's good too. But the old shit was magical.
Cradle of Borgir, love it :)
Exactly my thoughts! Cheers 😊
Lol kid. More like a mix between Flesh god Apocalypse & Devilish Impressions. Cradle and Borgir, lmfao. Either way, they're all crap.
@@elyanae9588 boy, you should pull your head out of your ass rather than talking utter nonsense in the internet. :)
@@hansfeiertag6534 please don't feed the trolls
Exactly.
I love how elegantly sinister Adrienne is here, like an aristocratic gothic horror villain. Classy! 🤘
Chaotic Evil Bard vibes
Yea
Fraom Dani Filth's wardrob
Yeah I want this band too live man I love it so much

She can also hit high notes like Rob Halford to I can definitely hear a influence in some of her vocals
She was Berklee trained. this woman can hit every range there is!

Really cool that an American band sounds like this

I love how Adrienne's basically on the edge of insanity and then Chris looks bored out of his mind in the back
I don't know of a singer who can more skillfully layer and harmonize with their own voice. These barks and high pitched belts are really something to behold.
this band somehow managed to sing almost all the metal genres I enjoy. Incredible versatility and I love it!
Agreed my favorite metal genres are either Power/Symphonic or Black/Death and I've also been into strong female lead singers so this band is everything I love about metal all rolled together into one band! I can't believe I've been so out of the loop on them!
That low, long growl towards the end of the song in the lyric “the sleep I longed for takes me, and I dream.” This song is everything. It’s so good.
She's the true "all in one" singer, holly shi*, what an amazing band!
my god this band can pull of any sound it is insane how talented they are

Adrienne, I am living for this vampire aesthetic you have going on
Aren't we all 😜
Pirate it's a pirate aesthetic.
@@evacody1249 let's settle on vampirate
I would not actually say its anything to do with Vampire but something more darker.
Definitely getting Dimmu Borgir vibes off this one. I freaking love it! Art without limits is a great concept to live by!

This blackened power/symphonic style is amazing. Well done.
phenomenal job to everyone!. Adrienne's vocals always blow me away, both clean and growls! Great work!
Okay, I was expecting a heavier song than "Succumb" but...damn. That caught me by surprise. I really like it. Can't wait for the album.
Most be Destiny
I was not expecting these vocals, usually not my style but hell the melody is so damn epic
Finally catching up on this band, this song is instantly one of my favorites. Sinister vibe and the vocal delivery is so cool!

Trve PERFECTION! The orchestral elements of this one are spot on, and the black metal influence fits the style so well.
I love the piano at the end doing the chorus from fearless. So elegantly placed. Especially if you know the Lore
Sascha Paeth: So you want this how heavy?
Seven Spires: Yes
Sascha Paeth: I have never went this close to black metal before.
Dimmu: There is a first time for ever thing.
I love the contrast to the light and uplifting "succumb" I think this album is going to tell a great story.

I think I have the inverse spectation, but can't wait for both

Y'all go buy their merch. They just had to cancel a massive tour because of Coronavirus. Go get a shirt or something.
Saw them last year at a club up the street from me and was hooked. This song sounds great!
Adrienne you are beyond exceptional 💎👏
She is like a mix between Dani Filth and Amy Lee. Both in looks and style. I love it!

Hard to come by American Metal that sounds like this.
It's great.
