I’m a Braves fan, and regardless of who wins between them and the Phillies, they are gonna have a hard time against the diamondbacks. I can see them going to the World Series. As long as the Phillies lose, that’s all I care about.

In game 7 of the 1985 World Series, and with the score 0-0, Royals outfield Daryl Motley hit a pitch from Cardinals starter John Tudor just foul. He then changed his bat and hit the next pitch for a 2 run homer. The Royals won the game 11-0.

I was at this game, and it was my first Postseason game and by far the best D-Backs game I have ever been to. It was so satisfying to avenge our sweep by the Dodgers in 2017 by doing the same back to them. Plus, the Beat LA chants were ringing throughout Chase Field to counter any taunts that the Dodgers fans present may have presented (no hard feelings if there are any Dodgers fans reading this). I hope for great things for my D-Backs in the NLCS, and that they may continue creating chaos. #BeatLA
Also something else insane that happened that wasn't shown in the video: During the 7th, a fan ran onto the playing field and tried to climb the fence into the pool, but was caught and ejected by security.

Diamondbacks deserve so much credit for what they accomplished in the last month. They fought tooth and nail to just make the playoffs and now have won five straight playoff games 4 of them on the road and have yet to lose. I don’t want to hear any excuses about the Dodgers having to much rest or if this was a longer series the Dodgers would have won as the better team. In the end if you’re a World Series winning caliber team you show up in big moments and battle against adversity which is exactly what both Arizona and Philadelphia have done in these playoffs. If I’m Ohtani I would think long and hard about wether I want to sign the next 8-10 years of my career with an organization that has been a part of so many playoff collapses. Congrats to Arizona and lets hope the magic goes on a while longer.

Yep, those LL spinners were horrendous. Should’ve been pulled after the second home run in an elimination game. You couldn’t throw better home run balls in home run derby.
Betts did go hit less, which is an unbelievable stat on its own, but he did a couple out of the screw’s that got run down. Dodgers only scoring 2 runs every game…wow!

Great win, D-backs! Now it's on to Atlanta or Philadelphia! Both teams are excellent. You may be undefeated in the postseason so far, but don't get complacent. You still need to win eight more games. At least two of those must be on the road. I doubt we'll have home field advantage in the NLCS. I don't know who will host the World Series, or how it's determined who will be the host.

Welcome to the club Padres fans. As a D-Backs fan, I think it's fascinating how both the Padres and D-Backs were swept by the Dodgers in our first Postseason matchups with them, then we avenged our losses in the fateful rematch.

Something is wrong with the Dodgers. They are killers during the regular season, but can't win in the playoffs. Teams that are double-digit losses behind them sweep them in the playoffs. Last year it was the Padres and this year the D-backs. Absolutely pathetic performances in both years. They should be ashamed of themselves.

From Mattingly to Roberts to Darvish to Kershaw to Seager to Turner…etc, the actors can change but the organizational philosophy and cultural support structure of said philosophy has not changed…the only logical explanation for these mind boggling October results, after highly successful regular seasons, is that the front office philosophy is not one that can win in the playoffs (or World Series for that matter). Proof is in the pudding…multiple early playoff exits (in infamous fashions on many occasions) and only 1 asterisk World Series in 11 years to show for it. Front office, their philosophy and their organizational structure to support that philosophy has to go! Period!
Dodgers are cursed. No matter how well a player bats or pitches, the mojo is just not there in the postseason. Many players have cone and gone, time for Roberts to leave. Can't explain why, but he just gotta go for a change, at least a try
the answer is injuries; the Dodgers keep a deep roster of players, but the elite pitchers being injured or worn out (as happened last year) has kept them from advancing in playoffs.
Last year, Roberts deserved some of the blame for wearing out pitchers in the regular season, but I think he did a masterful job this season working around those injuries during the regular season. However, the playoffs are against the best teams, and you can't hide when your best pitchers aren't available.

@@wsbs520 He’s a bit of a legend around here. Held to the same regard and degree of respect as Sandy Koufax. He does absolutely excellent in the regular season and even had a great year this year 2.46 ERA. But he drops the ball in October like he can’t handle the pressure for some reason.
