better then.... nowdays theres machette wielding youths with attitude want Everything for nothing.. and thieve anything not bolted down...was never a scooterist myself... but im finding as im ageing i am leaning towards getting one..smiles per mile..im done with high speed sportbikes
The narrator probably thought it a purely 60s thing and truth told it was but there was (as I'm sure you know) a thriving genuine revival scene going on at that time, a scooter clubs and rallies heyday almost which either the narrator didn't know about or was just cocking a little snooty snoot at as 'tv type's do

Used to buy my scooters for ten pounds. Admittedly they needed work but they ran and got me to the pub and the seaside. 👍

@@oldskoolfool141 Scootering in the early to mid 1970s wasn't very popular, only a hardcore were around until about 1978 when it kicked off again.
