    They are HELLA comfy. I got a question: can you wash them in a washing machine?

    • @RDQLUS
      @RDQLUS  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very interesting question! I would say not to because of the integrity of the plates and foam; because the plates are exposed, water would be able to get between the foam pieces. That’s just my guess because I’ve had mine on in the rain and they squeaked a good deal until they dried.
      That material should be pretty easily washed with a good brush kit and a damp towel, then stuffed with a dry towel to soak the excess moisture.
      Hope that helps, and thanks for commenting!

      I very much want to. These Asian brands are very hard to find and get shipped. There are several I’m actively trying to get at decent prices and shipping that won’t take forever or get stuck in customs.

      You need to find someone who travels often between Asia & North America often.. Eg a flight attendant/pilot. Who loves shoes and will partner with you. They fly often to the US.. Clearing customs isn't as big a delay in person at the airport rather than mailing it. 😉👍.... Even if your partner has to pay taxes on them.. It's done on the spot and you're done.

    I'm planning to buy Li Ning Shadow 2 Essential. I'm 9.5US in adidas. Will 9.5 US li ning fit? or I need to go for 10 US. My front part of the feet is a bit wide.

      In the Shadow Essential that I have my true size fit me. They are a narrow brand across the board, so just know that.

    Is this good for daily use?

    • @RDQLUS
      @RDQLUS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, it probably performs best as a daily walking shoe. I love it in that capacity. Crazy comfortable. I’m not sure how good it would be on your foot for daily runs. The tech is fantastic and fascinating, and the idea is that it powers up what your foot already does, but those opposing lates could stress your plantar fascia a bit if worn everyday for runs. But I have worn mine traveling for two weeks straight as my only show and it was amazing in that way.

    Can you help me with sizing man? I am a 44 2/3. Does a 44 fit me or is it too small?

    Bro help me! I wanna a pair of these but I dunno the fit of this particular brand, I wear an 8.5 with nike air max. What I should buy?

    • @RDQLUS
      @RDQLUS  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would first check the sizing from EU to US. I’m typically a EU 46.5 / US 12. These seem to fit exact.

      I lucked out and had a audience member who knew they were at a shop in Norway. They are one of the more unique and amazing pairs I’ve ever found.

    Is the sizing same as adidas or nike narrow running shows?

    • @RDQLUS
      @RDQLUS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      More narrow than Nike, if you can imagine that. Sizing is true, but the insole is plush. I’d say actual size or half up if your foot is wider

    • @the187alx
      @the187alx ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the sizing is actually different to normal: size US 10 is actually 10.5 in these (go for the centimeters). Also mine are not narrow and the insole is super thin, you basically sit on the carbon. I'll do a review soon

    Great review. It would be really helpful if you give a comparison with conventional super shoes on a race (effort wise and speedwise ) Could you please rate it on a race comparing with other conventional super shoes like vapourfly , Adios pro etc

    • @RDQLUS
      @RDQLUS  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for chiming in and for the view. I described in detail how this particular shoe was built assuming that most know how others are constructed. But you’re right, I didn’t do a side by side comparison, that’s true and it would be a good bit of added content. Here is the major difference; the plate system in most anything else is built for a forward rolling propulsion where the stiff plate is acting as a proxy for the motion of the foot. It’s stiffer than the foot, it’s often pre-curved to the toe-off position so it’s removing the friction and perhaps lack of strength for remaining rigid to maximize forward propulsion. This shoe is more concerned with the truer force of running which is vertical force-hard to believe but it’s true. Efficiency in running is not about dragging the body forward; running is repetitive vertical compression of our joints stacked, with a slightly forward angle causing rebound in the forward direction. So this shoe doesn’t roll you forward to the toes, as much as it compresses underneath your arch to supercharge the vertical stack, and with the slightest forward angle it releases that energy.
      Because of all of that, I’d use this shoe more for a great tempo runs and intervals, and anything traditionally plated for much longer constant paces… because this particular model is not about efficiency as much as it’s about energy return. Nike and adidas want to make it less work, where as this shoe rewards you for the work you give it.
      You’re right… I should have said all of that in the video 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣

      @@RDQLUS , appreciate your quick reply… so as per your trials , you will stick on to conventional carbon plated super shoes for any distance race 5K , 10K , half or full marathon.

    @wade_county 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting use of carbon plates. Normally anything with carbon plates/rods is meant for race days and not for daily training and casual use. I do really like the design of them. Li-Ning here in the States is more recognized for the Way of Wade stuff and that's already a niche audience. The Wade shoes are super high quality and high tech. Tbh, wasn't aware much of their high end runners.

    • @RDQLUS
      @RDQLUS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it really is an innovative use of basic physics and geometry. Opposed concave shapes with some flex will store energy when compressed and spring back. So simple but so incredible in this use. Chinese brands are moving the needle because the factories opened up production. The major brands have taken advantage for so long that the factories began creating their own, with the same or better innovation and for better prices. Peak, Anta and Li-Ning were the first to break out, but new ones like Qioudan and OneMix are making noise too. You’re so right about Li-Ning and the Wade line; they began a little clunky on design and rough around the edges, but now they are some of the most innovative basketball footwear around. They aren’t very accessible even now, but they’re dope! They have all of the same innovation in their running shoes, which are even more obscure and hard to find. That’s why this one was a grail for me.

      Dual carbon plate for bounce.. Vs typical super shoe using some variant of PEBAX/TPU foam.. Which is lighter and from what I read returns more energy from many studies I've "scanned". The foam is lighter than the carbon plate.
