Wow I'm just now hearing about this technique and I love it so much already. I thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial video for us. Love the quilt colors too!

Brilliant ... especially if we're running out of fabric for the binding ! TY

Yes! Add an extra pop and need skinnier strips.

Thanks so much for the boost of confidence. I have hesitated to try this, as binding has always been a nemesis. I love the simplicity, wonderful directions... Thanks for sharing :)

You are welcome! This technique isn't much different than regular binding.

Binding is not my most favorite part of quilting. I love your way and seeing how slow you go reminds me to slow and enjoy the process. Less unpicking required then.

I'm glad it helped! There are some steps we can speed through but we definitely slow down at this step.

I know this is three years old, but hopefully some one will see it. I was disappointed they didn't show a close up of the finished product so we could see what it looked like.

I wish you would show the backside of the project. Can you put flange binding on potholders?

The back doesn't show both bindings, so it just looks like regular binding. You could put it on any thing you'd like! The mini we used it probably only about 15" square, so not much bigger than a potholder.

Excellent instructions. What does the back look like?

It is just the main fabric and looks like regular binding, you don't see any of the accent fabric.

You should first iron the binding upward and then folding over would be easier.Attaching the ends seemed complicated. There are easier ways to attach the ends and it looks professional. However, your quilt did turn out nicely.

Didn't get to see the end result. Bummer.
