ok after watching the "7 hours/bowing" part like 6 times in a row( which we all did ) I actually want to comment on the acting of the two "ladies of the night" in purple and red, even though they are just background characters that don't really need to do anything but stand there and be pretty they both help convey the scene with how they both constantly look at the businessman with fascination(purple) or lust(red) and only occasional glances at others while they speak. I know its been many many years and I have no idea who they are, but I hope they enjoyed some measure of success as this shows they had/have good talent.
People fail to remember that the original Night Court had the most hookers seen on a sitcom ever. And in general it was full of sleazy people who got arrested and had some edge to the humor. One major problem with the new series is they pretty much have none of that and are trying to be too cute and family friendly. One other problem is it’s simply not funny. I don’t get how it’s about to start season 3!
You have a point about the more kid-friendly revival, but I think the show definitely started getting better in season 2. When they started to go back to the more over-the-top comedy that made the original show, instead of the more subdued comedy that killed "How I Met Your Father"
