  • Hi!
    It's great to be back with another video on Jodi flat design! Today, we're tackling an interesting design project - merging two 1 BHK apartments to create a 4BHK. Sounds crazy, right? But in today's world where space is a luxury and apartments cost a fortune, it's not as insane as it seems. People are always looking for ways to make the most of their living space, and I’m here to show you how it's done. While it's not the most difficult task we've faced, it's definitely a unique challenge that requires some creative thinking. So, get ready to dive into some super cool design ideas for a functional and stylish living area!

    The drywall is a great idea. It also adds privacy to the living space from the main door. If you open the door for anyone they cant see living room from doorstep

      Yes precisely! The partition turned out to be quite useful in more than one way. It creates an entrance passage & gives an ending to the entrance passage.

      Hahaha. Good one. 😂
      Nothing about favouritism here, but what else could we do? 😅
      With our spaces growing smaller, some times we have to come up with such solutions as people want private spaces.
      P.S. it may not be a proper bedroom, but it's definitely a comfortable one. It's actually my favourite in the entire apartment. ☺

    What if there are 2 flats of mine for which i want to break without disturbing the pillars beams (basically it's not load bearing) and we are on topmost floor. Building still with builder and chs not formed. Can I break such a wall and join flats without any additional approval

    • @kjacobinteriors
      @kjacobinteriors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No! first step is to get your plan approved by the Builder/Builder's fit-out department and/or the CHS. Please get the approval in an email/or on paper before you decide to move with any civil changes.

    Hi great idea
    May i please know how much is the carpet area of 1 bhk

    • @kjacobinteriors
      @kjacobinteriors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      1 BHK's carpet area is around 470 sqft.
      Which makes the total carpet area of the jodi flat 940 sqft.

    It was Awesome to see 3D Design which came up and beutified the space used..but still i see the entrance was little congested with the dining area and the TV Board which was planned.. and also what was the distance between sofa and TV Unit?
    Can you confirm what was the total cost to build this complete living with chandlers, lights, dining, POP, Colour ,boy bedroom etc

    • @kjacobinteriors
      @kjacobinteriors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest, the dining area felt a little 🤏 cramped to me as well, especially with the TV niche we built that seemed to encroach a little on the space. Which is why - I added a mirror to the wall opposite the windows (against the wall which touches the dining table). Even though it is a very simple ssolutio, it'll reflect the windows and make the room seem bigger than it actually is! Having said that, the circulation passages or the space to get in and out of that area or around the table has been taken care of🙂

    • @kjacobinteriors
      @kjacobinteriors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The sofa is 3' feet deep, followed by 380 mm gap between the centre table & sofa, centre table's depth is 350 mm and that leaves a 3' clear passage between centre table and TV! TV niche is 1' clear depth So the viewing distance from sofa to tv (minus the sofa backrest) is 9' which is good for viewing a 55" TV.
