This is so fun. My mom is helping me make this. We ordered exactly what was posted in the links and we are short 10 and 12 mm wooden beads unfortunately. so heads up for others .. you may end up short some beads so prepare for that. i am looking to buy now the other two and they are pretty cheap. Cant wait to see this completed. Thanks for taking the time to get this tutorial for us!
@@Richelle03121991 the info is in the videos description .. I believe I had to add two bags for each 10 and 12 mm beads but I forget now. I thought I wrote it but no. So sorry.,
You did an amazing job and this is the first video I seen showing how to attach the wooden bead chandelier to the light fixture. Thank you for being honest about stringing as well. I had planned to make this in two tiers but I’ll opt for just one since stringing takes forever. Thanks again!
❤thank you for doing this diy! I bought an outdoor hanging planter and was going to make something to cover up my boob light in my kitchen 😑😑😑I love how you did it so I’m gonna go with that! I have really low ceilings so I will have to adjust the chain but I am so excited to try this!!
Girlfriend!!! You NAILED IT!! I am in LOVE!! I've been using those beads in my jewelry making projects and just LOVE them, they are so gorgeous but now I really need a chandelier or 6 etc!! I have the hoops already and the truck load of new beads are on their way. I think I might go crazy and try a 2 or 3 tier because I have several sizes of hoops. Half way into stringing the beads I will probably punch myself!! lol I bought a bunch of small wood half circles, like the beads chopped in half that oddly look really good on whatever I keep gluing them to, which is nearly everything, except the cat, he was having NONE of it! lol KIDDING!! I would never!! lol They have a kind of medieval hardware vibe when painted and may give the hoop a bit more pizazz. I think I might try try the hoop in an antique bronze stain with the wood half circles stained too which I think will make the hoop pop. I know not everyone is into hoop popping, it looks great as is and unpopped! I'm always trying to find knew, exciting and sneaky cheap ways to glam things up and my brain is now going 100 miles an hour!! Thank you for the inspiration! My decor OCD is kicking into over drive!! lol Totally subscribed and liked but would have hit the 'love' button if there was one!! Take good care, Hugs from Montreal

Hi Sara, so glad I came across your channel and you :-) I had started to watch another channel making one of these and I felt so confused, I think it's more about different ways of learning, I'm certain many will not be confused by their method, even though it was clear as mud for me Lol :-D But you explained each step so clearly for me and I felt I could do this. I used to make bead necklaces so I have a lot of patience stringing beads. I'd like to make a smaller one for my toilet, the light fixture is flush to the ceiling so I'm limited as to which shades I can use, this design on a smaller scale I feel will work beautifully for the space...You think your bathroom is small, mine here in the UK is tiny, literally just a bath directly behind the door and the sink in front beside the bath, the toilet separate next door :-) anyhoo, I'm still grateful to have this
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! Loved reading your comment. And I would love to see what you create! Let me know if you have questions along the way too. ;) ❤️❤️❤️
I have a beaded chandelier in my master closet and over my bed. I’m in love with it. We got ours at Lowe’s. Waiting for months for them to go on sale. Love yours. !! U did amazing
Came across your channel while looking for DIY chandeliers (been debating over a wood beaded or a tassel chandelier style) and love how great this turned out! Definitely made it easy to follow so one could replicate it themselves, not to mention the help with links on where you got each item used. Love love LOVE your channel, you have such a fun personality and great DIY that have me totally pumped for my next project. Subscribed and lovin it! Looking forward to more! 😃👏🏻❤️🙌🏻
Hi Sarah, what drill bit size do you use? I used the smallest I have, the 1/16, and the eye hooks I ordered from your links are too small to fill that hole.
If you have to buy everything it will cost about $100 15 ×4= 60 for the beads. 14 for the light fixtures 16 for the embroidery hoop Plus shipping. 5 for the word glue if you don't have it already 4 for the eye hooks 4 for the beading line
Well what if a stranger on the internet (me) said she really believes in you and you should try any way even if you don’t have the confidence?! Here’s how I see it....if you don’t try, you’ll 100% not have a bad ass chandelier that you made. BUT, if you try, there’s a 50% chance you will have a bad ass chandelier that you made and a 50% chance that you’ll be exactly where you are right now. I like those odds!!!!! Do it! Show us when you’re done! We are SO good at clapping!!!!!
I love this project! Can we just ban all boob lights? They're put in by unimaginative construction guys who also seem to favor cutting in decorative wall niches and odd placement/installation of the house thermostat. They gotta go!
Tricia Harward Hahahah the location of the thermostat is one of my biggest pet peeves. I’m always like “WHY?!” Not all construction guys are bad guys. 😂 but the ones that make those thermostat decisions are soooooo rude.
Yes!! The boob lights need to go and I could not agree more about the thermostat location. I’m currently trying to brainstorm a new idea to cover mine which is smack dab in the middle of the wall centered down my hallway. 🤦🏼♀️ Right now I just have a large wood framed mirror leaning against the wall in front of it. Comes in handy when I’m leaving the house and need a quick outfit inspection, but also a bit boring. Ugh! These construction companies need more women helping design the layouts!
How much I hate builder grade fixtures...and it includes boob lights, fans, vanity and chandelier lights 🤮🤮🤮🤮! Don’t the landlords know that a simple upgrade like this makes your unit more “rent-worthy” 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

I was just trying to say that it's a bit dangerous to suggest people watch a youtube video and think they should do their own hard wiring. You have a responsibility if you have a TH-cam channel that people are watching, but whatever Karen, just keep doing whatever the hell you want
I love this. I've read so many tutorials on this chandelier and I think the eye hook idea is just so clever. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!
I did something similar with my mothers costume necklaces.
How did you remove the hardware from the embroidery hoop? You don’t show that in the video and I’m struggling to remove the rivets

5 for the word glue if you don't have it already

4 for the beading line

Ah! I’ll measure that for you and get back to you!

Me too. It’s transformed my bathroom!
Nice, you're awesome Sara. Freaking contractors and their economy-catalogue boob lights...
Taj Jacobs boob lights have their place! No shade to contractors! 😂 I’m just a picky poop head.
You just wanted to do it and you made it yourself and it's awesome.
Im doing this in my bedroom. I need a craft and my bedroom needs more coziness
Krystle yay! If you make it, tag me! I would love to see it!
This is so pretty. What size hoop did you use? I want to attempt it but stringing the beads is a daunting task.
Never mind, just rewatched it and you said 10" hoop. :)
10”! It’s daunting but kind of therapeutic too!

Lindo Top 😍 😍👍👍👍🙌
Help! Really want to do this, but I would need to modify it to use with a hanging light cord. Would the finished product be too heavy to do this with?
Hmmm! What will the chandelier be attached to? The ceiling? Or will you make a plate somehow that attaches to the cord?
I strung beads for year and years lmao🤣
it's TRUE! hahah :)
Can u please mention the sizes of wooden beads u have been used.. please!😅
I’m glad I’m not the only one that calls these “boob lights.” 😂

Does it cast odd shadows from the chandelier?
Not in my bathroom, but I’m not sure if it would elsewhere. Good question 🤔

Aprox. 32-36"
