Most people are not materialistic. Instead they are not independently wealthy or free to travel but instead work hard boring jobs to care for kids or elderly parents and pay for necessities, not designer bags. You two seem quite middle class. Probably well educated, white, probably not born into poverty either. Give the rest of humanity (who don't have your advantages) a break with your freedom and somewhat hedonistic philosophy..enjoy yourselves but realize your life is expensive for too many people on this planet. Many are suffering...
