Could have added Nikola Jokic's off foot floater on the short roll to make an example that literally every position is using it nowadays, not only guards
i hit like 5 floaters a game, and I'm not even that good or have good handles. Trust me, get good at floaters and scoring becomes a lot easier. I like my floaters to be high to be sure it get over the big, but you don't have to do that.
@@caamicemmanuelb.9630 I'm a 5'8 point guard. Im much more of a defensive player, which is why I'm on the starting line up. Normally, they come from me taking a couple dribbles while coming off a screen and driving, and then quickly going up for a floater before the big has time to prepare himself. I try to release mine just behind the charge circle.
@@wagashi9440 what a coincidence,I'm more of a defensive player too although I do not play point guard,I'm 5'6,and I'm still not a shooter,so I got to find ways to be efficient and I think floaters are a great tool that we can use
The only reason people don’t spam floaters is because it’s a team game. Attacking the basket benefits your team. If not why wouldn’t you score without ever making contact with the big man.
i find it most effective when you combine pick and roll then euro step so that after the pick and roll you use one dribbling then go left with one step and fake the pass and with the secend step you go into the paint and use it for balace
As a person comes from traditional European style, I still believe going with jump stop plus triple treat is the best way when you drive to the rim. That’s the reason I prefer Luca’s style cuz he can also feed their big man or kick the ball outside more efficiently.

"Floater alert!" -Chris Smoove
About to practice them now
The next generation of NBA is in good hands

sombor shufflw
I am not a fan personally of using floaters, but I do recognize that if used correctly they can be very difficult to defend. Good breakdown.
Yup and after you hit a couple of floaters you can look at rim and hesi and blow by the big down low
You should break down Immanuel Quickleys floater game, it's elite!
Facts bruh
I just love your channel and you give me motivation to work hard and grind ever day. Thanks for everything ❤️❤️
Top 5 floater games in the league??
Ice Trae
Rose TP Ja Trae Luka
If retired players don’t count then CJ
Trae, D Rose, CJ, CP3, Ja and Immanuel Quickley is definitely gonna be up there
@@Ac-wt7eb Hardens a good option 2
Prime DRose for sure! His floater game was unstoppable!
Steph curry
Trae young
Luka
Can you do a tutorial on trae young floater i need to master it
Can you make a floater workout for high school and college levels?
In my game floater is a very VERY important part, I always do it cause I can’t do a proper layup,
Cant have a video about floaters without mentioning the youngest MVP🌹
Drose the best floater ever ♥️
Thanks bro! I'll definitely add these techniques to my game!
He’s Back😈
Me seeing this after randomly getting hella buckets from floaters😳 definitely gonna work on this now

Another thing I recommend is to not flick your wrist, so you just "push" the ball up, reduces the chance of left and right misses for me.
@@wagashi9440 what position do you play? and do you get those floaters on one to two dribbles or from a pass with no dribbles?

The floater allows small guys and slow guys a chance to compete and dominate.
Best channel, thank you for the great content.

I think it’s more so because it’s a tough shot to get good at!
Great video
Love your videos. Could you come to Memphis this summer?
When should you use them instead of say a short jumper
Floater is just like another version of the pull up jumpshot
great video keep it up

I feel upset, you didnt mention DRose in this video.
I believe he is also master this skill...
Just kidding, thanks for sharing this video.
yes drose has one of the best floaters
love the videos but v curious where you learned to say "that" instead of "the"
What do you guys think is easier? Floating while flicking wrist? Or doing a floater but not flicking your wrist?
I don’t think I should do this at the lower level I think you miss more so it’s better to go straight at the rim when there is only 6’7 at the 5
I gotta try to learn this cause I’m 120 pounds and there is no way that imma finish with a regular layup
watch d rose if you want to see great floaters
A video about floaters without D Rose (the God of floaters) smh
Do floaters always need to go above the square on the glass?
No. But it's helpful at higher levels to get it over the shot blocker
Also the angle is better on the shot and can give you softer bounces if its higher
"If you're not physically dominant like Luka"? That dude be bullying people out there. Think you meant like Ja and Trae.
In terms of speed and pure explosiveness, Luka isn’t dominant
GOD bless💕🙏🏾
Whatever you do, don't follow through. 😆
Sniper gang floater gang 😎
Gang gang sniper gang gang floater gang gang

I dont think ive ever seen like to dislike ratio better than this
👍
Luka is not physically dominant? He’s pretty underrated in that facet I think. He bullies players. Even elite defenders like Paul George.
