Newey is already 66 so I expect he will want to be stepping back quite soon and let his protégé’s do a bit more. However after Ross Brawn’s success at Ferrari back in Schumacher’s time perhaps Adrian would like to follow Hamilton to the Scuderia and spend a couple of “glory years” in red before putting his feet up completely…

Aerodynamics will always be important in racing. Newey is the master here and has much knowledge to pass along to younger engineers.
Don't be so sure that Stroll could get sacked for a better driver. Dad understands that Lance is about as good as he'll ever be and that isn't good enough. Alonso and Max could be a good team for a couple years until a younger driver comes along.

Red Bull won the championship with Sebastian Vettel and they could win again with another driver. Losing Adrian Newey would be catastrophic but people working with him have already shown amazing talent which gave him a breather and he doesn't take an active role in upgrades on the car.
Newly is already a multi millionaire so money will not be his motivation. The best wind tunnel and state of the art software would be far more attractive to Newey than just more money….

If Newey was purely an employee of Red Bull I think they could enforce a ban on Newey’s “ intellectual property” but I don’t think that will be the case here…..
If Adrian Newey leaves Red Bull then his next destination is Ferrari with Lewis Hamilton as the driver. Lawrence Stroll with $100 MN couldn't stop his dream of working with both Racing Horse and 7th World Champion. Ferrari is farming for 2026 and it is a brainer for him to go to Aston Martin and help a father who wants success for his son who couldn't keep the car on the track.

Age is only a number in my opinion and being in “your prime” is much more important and can be at any age. However by now Newey may have had his fill of designing racing cars and might just be dreaming of enjoying his lovely family and garden. For those of you that have followed Adrian long enough that’s why he ultimately left McLaren. (Adrian wanted to diverse into Americas cup yacht design but Ron demanded that he remained fully focused on F1 car design. Subsequently when Coulthard (13 wins) moved from McLaren to Red Bull he was eventually also able to persuade his close friend Adrian to jump ship and join RB under more forgiving contract terms that allowed Adrian more design freedom.
The new regs put a lot more emphasis on the electric boost control .Newy is not part of that process so his influence after 26 will be much reduced .
With all his success, I always thought that he (AN) was under paid.. compared to the drivers, after all multiple drivers have won the world championship with his designs. Max is the a factor above the rest for sure, just look at his teammates results. But others simply have won because of the AN designed cars. Aston Martin would be the final blank sheet of white paper for AN with a new team and with new regulations getting ever closer. Question is does he need the money? He is surely not poor even by driver standards, as it is only a few drivers who get multi millions pay cheques anyway. He is what 64/65 years old? Life is short and so many good years he no longer has. He has absolutely nothing to prove and perhaps more to loose if the results don’t stack up straight away. The biggest crux of all is Stolls son.. even if god himself designed the car then it will not make him into a winner, let alone a world champion. With this in mind I personally would only move to Aston.. not unless Max was to joint the team as well..
TBH i think Horner and RB is better of the Verstappen family at this point. but losing Adrian, that is a hard blow. Due to Max did not control his father and let him roam and not helping Horner i lost my respect for Max. He is no longer on my "Drivers list".
And also STOP this shit with drivers not even old enough to drive a car on the road.
Isn’t it amazing that the old adage of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” does not apply to F1. Loyalty and integrity are unknown concepts and money counts. The behind the scenes drama is more important than the actual racing it seems. F1 is truly a circus, spending billions on proving who has the biggest dicks and it is getting stale fast!
If you haven't got a newey car you ant going to win. Ask Hamilton. 😢
