  • Election observers from the Forum of Parliaments of the International Conference of the Great Lakes Region have been cautioned against taking sides or engaging with polling agents and voters during Monday's upcoming presidential elections. Onyango Kakoba, the Secretary-General of the forum, addressed delegates from member states during an orientation session on election observation protocols and key aspects to monitor. In Kigali, Sudhir Byaruhanga reports on the competitive race between two candidates vying to challenge President Paul Kagame.

In Rwanda, votes are counted before the elections!! Ask me I used to work for the National Electoral Commission. There’s one election where we had about 800,000 extra votes and they had to work out how to fix the problem because people were voting with no limit. Kagame had more than 100% but later numbers were cooked and brought down to 99%

They speak both french and english it depends with were one came from or studied. Rwandans come from different diaspora because of their history of being refugees around in this great lakes and east african region.

No hutu no Tutsi all those so-called tribes are no longer exist in our country ,
Those were created by colonizers to divide us and they nearly destroyed our country 😮
There's no more time for those
