Thanks for the great videos, Ive been eyeing the Rove for a couple years and am just now in a position where I can justify buying a new bike. Curious about your thoughts on the carbon forks. Ive always enjoyed steel if for no other reason than bikes tend to get beat up more in transit than actual riding. Shipping, car racks, back of a strangers truck etc. So Ive been leaning towards steel forever just for the piece of mind of laying the bike down where ever. I do a lot of adventure traveling that inevitably involves unforeseen and less than Ideal situations. Anyone with thoughts feel free to chime in. Thanks
I'm a bit late to the chat. How does the frame feel? I've read reviews on the non-853 saying its too stiff when unloaded. Does your 853 frame have the nice flex when unloaded? There is a 52cm available near me, though the 54 might be a better size. Thanks.
The Kona Rove with the carbon fork is unfortunately out of my budget, so I would like to ask you, do you think the normal Kona Rove with the steel fork is still a fine choice? I want to use it as commuter bike mainly for work and I have roughly 27-28 km of distance to work and back.
Hey there! I ordered the dropper and the lever but the lever clamp doesn’t fit my handle bars. Is your rove using the stock handle bars? Any ideas where I can find a clamp that fits
Love the review. Your saddle, how flexible/soft is it? Have you had any other leather saddles? I've loved Selle Anatomica saddles since their leather is so soft and flexible, until they started squeaking so bad they drove me out of my mind. It happened on multiple SA saddles, so it was a design issue. The leather would rub over the metal frame and squeak every pedal stroke. As comfortable as they were, I couldn't handle the noise. So if the Gilles Bertoud saddle was soft and flexible, but with better design, I'd think about giving one a try.
I haven’t tried selle anatomica saddles but have heard great things about them! The only other saddle that I’ve tried is a brooks team pro. And that one for sure was softer and bouncier than the GB... so far no noise has come with the breaking in process of the saddle.
can someone please suggest me how the Kona Rove is vs the Cube Nuroad Pro FE ? I have an opportunity to buy either for more or les the same price... How to think, why chose one over the other!? Thanks for all advices from you guys that been biking for a long time!
With the leather saddles Jove used I like a touch off center do to their slick material once ridden in the video it looks a lot more exaggerated than it really is.

How tall are you? Im considering getting the rove sometime. It seems like 54 is my size as well but im not sure

Hey Josh! Wondering if you've played around with 650b vs. 700c wheels on this Rove. I'm currently running 700.
Looking at getting it. Can you also fit mudguards when you have the 700s on?

Everything I’ve done on it, it has been able to handle. Pretty solid fork so far

I have a SRAM Eagle XX1 (DUB) crank. This should be fine to work since it's also a DUB compatible BB correct?
