How to remove a SUP paddle grip

A while I attended SUP technique session during which a number of us learnt that our paddles were longer than ideal reducing paddling efficiency. This included my paddle.
I have been paddling with an adjustable paddle trying to improve my technique and determine the length that is right for me.
The next thing is to shorten my paddles.
How do you remove the grip so the paddle can be cut down and the grip reattached?
I thought this would be difficult given that the grips are Araldited in. But No .. fairly easy.
Ok - today I thought I would give it a go.
I had no idea how it would go and decided to record my attempt.

The next step is to cut and reattaching the grip. I have ordered some VMG dragon grips and wait for them to arrive because they need to go first.
