There are hundreds of videos out there documenting people's trips to Everest Basecamp so why should you watch mine? I can't answer that really. I'm not as polished as some of the pro TH-camrs out there, I'm just me trying to document my adventures in my own style. No fakery, no product placements or sponsorship, just me being me. If you want to watch a normal bloke having fun whilst fulfilling one of his life's ambitions then watch this video and don't forget to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel where you'll get me just being me enjoying everything I do. I hope you enjoy what you see - Keep an eye out for part two. Thanks Rob
Thanks and thanks for watching. It took quite a while to decide what got cut as the video could’ve easily been over an hour long. Hope you get to Basecamp soon 👍😊
Great mate I loved Everest it's a fantastic Mountain, I was on an expedition north side from Tibet to climb to the summit, unfortunately just didn't get to the top but not far, enjoy your videos, take care Ant.
Wow that’s fantastic. It’s always been my dream to climb it but I just can’t afford it and I’m starting to get a bit old now. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate the support. Have a great day 👍😊
absolutely fantastic Rob, I will be following your footsteps hopefully December 2023, just like you I will probably be just as emotional, so nice to feel how much you've wanted to do this, what a privilege to watch you live your dreams!!
A brilliant part one. I'm so pleased for you watching this as I know it's been your ambition for so long. The views are just simply breathtaking and you've taken some amazing footage. Those bridges look a bit daunting, I get wobbly legs crossing the Humber Bridge on foot 😂. You've got memories to treasure forever.
Thanks mate. Having watched it it just doesn’t do it justice. It really was stunning every direction you looked. I could’ve sat and filmed all day. You’ll have seen the amount of pics I took. Had to edit them down loads too. Highly recommend it mate. You’d love it. Thanks again for watching. Really appreciate it. 👍😊
Cheers mate. Second one on its way in about a week. That’s a better one as it has me reaching Basecamp as well as a couple of rather emotional moments 🥲😜
Hi Rob. I’ve been looking forward to this after following you epic journey on social media. A great start to the adventure, although I think I’d have had to look straight ahead on some of those bridges! Must be a strange feeling walking at altitude given it isn’t something we usually experience. The mountain views looked spectacular. Well done mate and I look forward to the next episode
Hi mate, thanks for watching. Yeah it’s a unique experience and on some days felt really crap. Worth it for the views though. Seems like so long ago that I was there. Need to get out on another adventure soon. 👍😊
Hi Rob, That looks like a fantastic adventure and some excellent filming from you. I have watched the film twice up to now and will probably watch it again tomorrow, to make sure i didn’t miss anything. I would love to go myself but my health is not good enough these days. I can’t wait to see part two of your epic adventure, I know you have waited a while for this trip but it looks well worth the wait. Well done Rob, this is fantastic and some epic camera work, brew with a view, can’t beat that. Cheers 🍻👍👍👍
Hi Chris, thanks so much for watching (twice) So glad you enjoyed it. It really was an epic trip. Hopefully part two will be out in about a week or so. Keep your eyes peeled for it. Thanks again for your support. Cheers Rob 👍😊
Thanks and thanks for watching. That’s great to hear that you might be going with Hayley. She’s great. I used the Rab Ascent 900. Certainly warm enough and if you like to be extra toasty like me, all the rooms we stayed in had duvets so you can stick that on too as well. Strangely I think the coldest night I had was the first night when we were still low down. No idea why. After that I was sometimes sweating at night.
@@RobsAdventures brilliant thanks for that. Hayley is the best in everything that she does. Thank you for doing these videos. It has put my mind at ease about some scary cat moments in my head. Keep enjoying the adventures 😃
Not at all. There were 12 in our group plus Sherpas but for the most part of the trek we just saw the odd couple of trekkers. When we reached Basecamp, we had it to ourselves. I think if you went at the height of the season it may be crowded but we were back end of the season so much quieter, even in the tea houses.
Glad you use natural sound. So many destroy their videos with music…let the natural environment speak for itself. Music here and there is fine but so much to appreciate without it.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. Really glad you enjoyed my video. You’re right about music. Some people definitely overdo it. Thanks again Rob 👍😊
Can not understand why you also went up via Tengboche when there is a much better high trail on the opposite side of the valley going via Phortse. Amazing views, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Tengboche can be visited on the way down.
I just followed my guide as I’m unfamiliar with the area. We saw absolutely loads of wildlife on the trip to be fair. We were fairly spoiled in that respect but I didn’t get my camera out in time. vultures eagles, deer etc. None of the trail was particularly busy as we’re at the back end of the season. There were 12 in our group plus guides but we hardly saw any others for a lot of the trail. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed it. 👍😊
@@RobsAdventures I can not understand why guides want to take clients up and down the same route when there really is a more impressive one available. Maybe next time!

Cheers Chris. Make sure you watch it on a big screen to fully appreciate it. Hope you enjoy 👍😊
Great fun video to watch. Looks amazing. Would take hours to edit this. Everest Base Camp and Mera Peak walk is in my to do lists
