Why Do People Do Meditation

Prophet (pbuh) said, I am with the one who remembers Me". No benefit of any meeting where Allah is not remembered. Why do people do meditation. The Holy verse of reflection. Remembrance before meditation. Meditate on the creation, not on the creator. One hour of reflection.
