Great Video! I'm a Longhorn fan since high school in the 75-78 era. I have truly missed the whole buildup in the football season culminating in the Texas vs Texas A & M game on Thanksgiving Day. I have a couple of those games on VHS tape! I am happy that we can now be entertained by this rivalry again this season, and especially in the context of the most intense College Football Conference in the nation. The SEC is the best. The gauntlet these member schools have to endure every season is more brutal than any other in the nation. As a Longhorn fan, I'm happy to join this conference and begin kicking ass in 2024. They did us right in the schedule with A&M as the last game of the season, as it has mostly been in the past. Hook Em Horns!
It's About Time. Welcome Back Together Again. May the Best Team Win.
Bama fan here.
As long as I can remember way back when the Southwest conference was one of the major conferences this was a game many watched if one was a true college football fan.
That conference was basically every Major University in Texas (Texas, Tech, A&M, Baylor, Houston, Rice, SMU) and Arkansas.
Every Thanksgiving weekend this game was on. Being an Army Brat overseas was no different. Many of us woudl sneak into the Rod & Gun Club and take a peak at the TV set to see the score of this game.
Definitely one of the top rivalry games around because it is in-state. Trust me, we know all about that with Auburn.
I am so glad they will play again as it will provide a lot more to the college game. Great vid.
I'm an Oklahoma Sooners fan but I have always respected Texas and Texas A&M and I really really missed this rivalry. Glad that this rivalry is back. I'm gonna be at this rivalry game this year
Mike Elko
If A&M would have played Texas during the Charlie Strong and Tom Herman eras, the Aggies would have won every year.
So true!
This is a great video of the rivalry in a nutshell.
Gig'em 👍
Lifelonghorn here stating that this rivalry will never be the same since the Stack collapsed....... and the Aggies do deserve a long awaited title
when the game is on the line and the kickers name is Justin Tucker....
Great video
what success has a&m had? besides johnny football who was super special they havent done anything. this is stupid and ridiculous that a&m feels theyve done anything in the SEC.
What success has Texas had since a&m joined the sec?
@@balapadmanabhan5705 won the big 12 and made the playoffs, a&m cant even win with their #1 ranked classes, stick to baseball lil bro
There aren’t any good schools in the big 12 though bro and y’all lost first round
@@Footballshortclipz28 lmao 1 season and texas fans think they can win the sec.
@@Footballshortclipz28one good season and yall think yall great, stick to short clips lil bro
Texas got glazed they make the playoffs once and then everyone says there going to be the nick saban era Alabama. Great video like how you didn't glaze one school
Gig 'em!
All that little brother crap not true
who won last rivalry lil bro
@BenjaminMaster2016 Don't know why you're calling TAMU Little Brother for? It's actually 7 years OLDER than TU.
Gig Em!
that's not UT that's Texas
UT is Texas lol
@@robertacosta1293 no Tennessee is UT and Texas would be Mexico if not for the Volunteers. Tennessee was a school before Texas was a state.
@@UThinkISay nobody cares. Outside of the SEC UT in Texas and in a few years it will be in the sec also lol
@@UThinkISay It didn’t become “The University of Tennessee” until 1879… The University of Texas was founded in 1883.. that’s only 4 years different lol Texas because I US state in 1845..
right, and that’s not A&M; that’s little brother
Texas and OU didn’t follow A&M, they followed the SEC
It's a statement on the time of entry into the SEC and exit from the big 12.
Don't get so worked up.
Whatever you need to tell yourself.
Yet, y’all tried to go to the PAC and Big 10 first. Got told no.
