Steve Sutcliffe and Chris Harris are hands down the best car journalist in the game. No one pulls more emotion out of reviewing amazing cars then these two
+Elias Bako Jethro Bovingdon, mate! That dude is right up there with Chris Harris and Steve Edit: I posted this comment without reading previous comments and lol look at them! All Jethro fans have gathered here.
Ferrari 488 : RWD but Turbochraged McLaren 570 : RWD but Turbochraged Audi R8 : NA V10 but 4WD And then finally you have a RWD Huracan with the last NA V10. That's the perfect basis to build a modern mid-engine track car.
Great review Steve. If I mute the video (which I did when I first watched it) and watched your face, I could tell what the review was. Spot on. This is a freaking awesome car. **The BEST is yet to come**
Eu Quero Ter Essa Nova Lamborghini Huracan Spyder Lp:580.2 De Tração Traseira Só Para Fazer Drift Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim.
We have really missed, Steve. Excellent review as usual. The Huracan is the first Lambo I find easy on the eyes. I'm not a huge fan of angular design. This RWD is so much fun :D
why a good car always have to drift. it is very unsafe. I understand the front have to be pointy instead of understeering. but if a car drifts good car. what a ridiculous, populist things for kids. it is really getting boring to see similar tests. there are millions of things you can talk about the car, but just drift. buy a Nissan sx 200 turbo, second hand from1990 or 1995, put a large turbo and drift all day long, look then best car on earth.
Because the average person enjoys seeing slidy shenanigans, and it's a test of a balanced chasis. If you can control the vehicle well while it's in such a hyper sensitive handling state, then that chasis is well tuned.
Jeremy Clarkson once did a review of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage. The first line was 'Well, what do you think it's like? Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful'. Seems a bit shallow and poorly argumentated, but the film is a bit different than usual.
appelpower1 Jeremy Clarkson is a great presenter, but his job in TG was not to explain each and every car's specification or do anything useful for plausible future buyers, to be honest. The job of TG crew was to entertain. Auto Express is more of a knowledge-spreading channel, though. I noticed that less and less work is put in reviews beforehand. They just sit in the car and go with the flow, resulting in lack of proper information..
Nik Brudar I get your point, Top Gear and Auto Express are quite different. Still, even Clarkson tends to put more effort in factual describing than that.
OH MY LORD!! The noise the thing makes between 3:01 & 3:08 😱😱😱😱😱 absolutely unbelievable!! That is how a car should sound. It's like 50 cal machine gun going off, all out sustained attack!! Brilliant absolutely brilliant!
maybe I suck but all this review told me was this car doesnt understeer anymore and the he didnt go for track times, I think it would have been better if you didnt drift it and got the 4wd and compared their track times.
What would be better to drive on the road with? Think the 4 wheel drive may be more practical (As practical as a Lamborghini can get) , but this one is much more enjoyable to take on the track?
I agree, not to mention that rear wheel drive is more cheaper than 4 wheel drive, it may not be as safe but think, no customer is going to drive that car the way this reviewer is doing it, unless they go to a track suitable and have permission
+Super Skyline A rwd feels differently from a 4wd...4wd's are prone to understeer, also the rwd is going to be a lot lighter so basically it's a better drivers car
WHAT? They had to put SOFTER compounds on the front compared to the rear to get rid of understeer in a RWD mid engine car? Thats a drastic measure which suggests the chassis inherently understeers. Busted.
+jamie101010 Did he say compounds or suspension? I thought he was only talking about the suspension being 10% softer at the front and 2-3% softer at the rear, which doesn't tell you anything about unless you know the original specs of the 4wd huracan.
Well the old Huracan had 610 horsepower with 4 wheel drive that cost £180,000, this Huracan LP580-2 has 580 horsepower but with 2 wheel drive (rear wheel drive) and cost £160,000
no one who knows anything about lamborghini could say the 580-2 is a response to "saying the 610-4 is too sensible/soft etc" because of the balboni gallardo- this was always going to happen
O mau desses carros e o volante , eu creio que foi isso que matou artista de cinema dos velozes e furiosos . Nas curvas ao controla a frente do carro o volante amaçado atrapalha
It wouldn't feel like a loss taking into account awd drive train losses to the wheels...probably putting a little more to the Tarmac but would evenout as awd would have more more traction. Straight line I would guess once up and moving you wouldn't be able to tell
Can we please stop with the constant "They don't want me to do it, but I'm going to turn off traction control" aren't I a naughty boy? Please just be honest the video wouldn't be airing if Lamborghini in this case didn't tacitly approve of such things.
+Alasdair Macdonald It's probably true. It makes sense that they would have a group of journalists reviewing the car on one day when they have the track reserved. Probably most of them are more journalist than driver. They don't want their cars going into the wall, so they make a rule that you have to leave the computer controls turned on. They may pull him aside at some point and say it's ok for you, since he's one of the better drivers of the journalists, but officially, he's probably not supposed to do it.
+Alasdair Macdonald i think that more than journalism, for a long time now, autopress is more for the entertaining. the way they hide and criticise some features of some cars, the crap sometimes they say i think it shows
Thing I do not understand is that Gallardo handled terrible compared to the old R8 , and R8 was one of the easiest drifing cars. Why new Huracan was not made tail happy like old R8 (still 4WD), and new R8 made understeery and safe?
571bhp... then why did they round it up to the (580) name? C'mon Lambaudi, who are you trying to kid. Should be the 570-2. Not much more of a step up from the 560-4 tbh.
yea great if you want a drift car but this car isn't made or set up for drifting and burning rubber will put a hole in your pocket so what fun is there to have if the car goes easily bonkers when taking a corner cannot even compete
LP 580..... Almost. Here's something I don't understand. I think we can safely assume all future mass produced Lamborghinis to be 4WD. This is the second time Lamborghini have taken the front shoes of of their baby model. The first was the Gallardo, and they called it the Balboni, named after Lamborghini's most famous test driver Valentino Balboni.... Why not call this second attempt the Huracan LP 580-2 Balboni and start a trend by surnaming all RWD Lambos Balboni? Balboni also sounds less nerdy than LP 580-2.
People always compare that 458 was more fun than the huracan.yes!!!!because 458 was rwd but the huracan was awd.Now the huracan was rwd and i really want to see which is a better car.its not like that i hate 458,its a great car but please dont compare rwd with awd in term of fun
It doesn't need as much crank power because with 2wd it has less drivetrain loss So maybe they dialed back some hp for reliability. It still makes more hp at the wheels than the AWD model.
So now that the 458 is outta production Lamborghini and McLaren go ahead and make worthy competitors for it. Great. Well id still like to see a competition between the 570S, the 458 and this Huracan
+Dre Ray I'm not sure how a manual would make it better from a racing standpoint; that would be a more personal preference OFF the track. Also, raising the power is not always better; it's about the balance of it. Look at Corvette - the Stingray is lauded for its track capability, but we hear time after time that the Z06 has TOO much power for the track. I never thought that was possible, but I'm not a world class road racer either. But to say Lambo engineers are incredibly stupid may be a bit dramatic.
...Theres a reason as to why manuals are so wanted today, And from a racing standpoint has nothing to do with a road car, its not F1, And what car has LOWERED power from either a different version or a nexy gen today?...None, They are either the same power, Or more power added. If you watched MTs first review of the ZO6, You can clearly hear Randy Pobst saying hew WANTS ANOTHER 100bhp in the ZO6....And i never said Lambo engineers were stupud.
+Dre Ray you said "I find it incredibly stupid THEY." Who is "they?" It's not always about more power, and when you are dealing with exotics, they are tooled for different applications. Hence a reduction. Who lowers power? Lamborghini, with their latest, which is also rear wheel drive. But I guess once again "they" don't know what they're doing.
Why does a buyer need a RWD less powerfull and softer huracan, when there's enough RWD alternatives with the same and better performance e.g. Ferrari, the only advantage of Lambo is AWD system allowing to make fast 0-200 kmph, it's not very track focused.
That's a good question! I think Ferrari is more sofisticated but that NA V10 in the Lambo screams so beautiful and sometimes that is all what you need. Next weekend I'll get to drive this Hurrican for one day!! - and I'm a regular dude who never drove a supercar before so that shall be interesting. I'll post a video on my channel:)
+Harman Sanghera Knowing how fast and responsive today's supercars are, you won't have the time to change a gear manually. You're much better off with a paddle shifter.
The way he bounced it off the rev limiter... Because drift car! ;) perfect driving!
+ThatGuyNamedScott. C I'm not a petrolhead do you mind explain what you mean? :)
***** oh right yeh I understand what you mean thanks
+ThatGuyNamedScott. C he looks clumsy
+meschio - Sutcliffe would take your sorry ass to town in a car race. :)
I really like that front bumper!
ianiva it's a lot better than the 610 in my opinion
imo the front looks better than the LP 610-4 but fhe rear doesnt.
why cant there be a mix😫 hate when this is the case
Better than the 610 one
From from LP 610-4 much better looking
Its a pity Steve can't do all your videos
Steve Sutcliffe and Chris Harris are hands down the best car journalist in the game. No one pulls more emotion out of reviewing amazing cars then these two
+Elias Bako Agreed, but Jethro Bonvingdon is right up there as well!
+mgfmgtf I love Jethro, nohomo!
Umm... the three former Top Gear presenters? And indeed Alex Goy (Car Throttle), but the two you mentioned come after that.
+Elias Bako Jethro's definitely on that list

I could afford this, I'd have to live in it though.. Wonder how far back the seats recline
Great review Steve. If I mute the video (which I did when I first watched it) and watched your face, I could tell what the review was. Spot on. This is a freaking awesome car. **The BEST is yet to come**
hey docta its good seeing you here. Are you planning to buy one of this?
+Iceman08900 Not sure. Need to drive it first.
Steve, your reviews are always great!
The lp 580 is so much better than the 570s
Great review Steve.

Eu Amei A Lamborghini Huracan Spyder De Tração Traseira Lp:580.2 Só Para Drift.
What an epic moment, bouncing the rev limiter for a while in 2nd. before pulling to 3rd! Kudos to you Sutcliffe for actually testing the car :)
Definitely one of the very best car channels on youtube.
im getting this car hopefully next week. Ill keep yall updated finger crossed
Sooo... Did you buy one?
My finger lifted off the browser Back button as soon as I heart Steve's voice... thank God.
Steve Sutcliffe is the reason why Auto Express 300k subscribers. He knows how to throw a car about
2:56 when you bounced off the limited, EPIC!!!
We have really missed, Steve. Excellent review as usual. The Huracan is the first Lambo I find easy on the eyes. I'm not a huge fan of angular design. This RWD is so much fun :D
Finally a proper Lambo!

Sorry, I couldn't understand anything due to your lack of grammatical knowledge.
+That Man Called Toyan I think it is not because of lack of grammatical knowledge, it is about your lack of brain.
dude its about the fun
A car that is poised and controllable even beyond its limit (or the tires' limits) is one of the characteristics of a good handling car.
did two corners ---> "I love it"
ok, well that was deliberately contemplated ...

Joel Schembri True. And it's a beautiful film. Besides, he didn't intend to actually review the car in the first place.
+Nik Brudar nah, just a verbal premature ejaculation
Great review! love this channel
Are they going to do a spyder 580-2?
Most definitely - stupid if they don't
econpkftw HaHa
So what would happen if they soften the front suspension of the 4wd version? Best of both worlds?
OH MY LORD!! The noise the thing makes between 3:01 & 3:08 😱😱😱😱😱 absolutely unbelievable!! That is how a car should sound. It's like 50 cal machine gun going off, all out sustained attack!! Brilliant absolutely brilliant!
"Im not really supposed to do that....but ive done it" #thuglife
sir can we have a comparison between this car and the mclaren 570s
Decent review. But the intro/outro backround-music is way too loud, and the Presenter is trying to speak over the music. Not effective.
So how much should you salary be to own a car like this in Belgium
why does is have smaller 19 inch wheels. the original has 20inch
New shirt Steve?
maybe I suck but all this review told me was this car doesnt understeer anymore and the he didnt go for track times, I think it would have been better if you didnt drift it and got the 4wd and compared their track times.

I honestly don't know which huracan I should get.
WHICH ONE SHOULD I GET!?!?!?!?!
Do a race with the Huracan
Do you guy's think the R8 V10 should Be rear wheel drive only too ?
Proper review!
WoW!! I like red color Huracan. Awesome supercar.
WHAT? They had to put SOFTER compounds on the front compared to the rear to get rid of understeer in a RWD mid engine car? Thats a drastic measure which suggests the chassis inherently understeers. Busted.
Still drives better than your Daewoo Matiz.
+Rottensteam yeah, right. That'll be the Daewoo.
+jamie101010 Did he say compounds or suspension? I thought he was only talking about the suspension being 10% softer at the front and 2-3% softer at the rear, which doesn't tell you anything about unless you know the original specs of the 4wd huracan.
+Leander he said both
No manual either?
What different with huracan Lp610-4?
Well the old Huracan had 610 horsepower with 4 wheel drive that cost £180,000, this Huracan LP580-2 has 580 horsepower but with 2 wheel drive (rear wheel drive) and cost £160,000
+Super Skyline I will get the old Huracan. I see thanks.
One day i try to own this beast so beautiful
Holy Shit, dat hitting the rev limiter while drifting! Justice to this car is served!
Can you dial out the understeer in the AWD version with some settings changes?
+Greco Conduris why, do you have the 4wheeldrive version?
+Vic Thaking No, can't afford one, but bit of a geek, so just generally interested.
+Greco Conduris You're no geek if you're interested in cars, that's a manly world.
+Greco Conduris watch evos video on this car
+SuperAdyo hahaha, thanks for the encouragement
It's simply the best car out there. You love this, or hate cars, simple
no one who knows anything about lamborghini could say the 580-2 is a response to "saying the 610-4 is too sensible/soft etc" because of the balboni gallardo- this was always going to happen

Thank you Steve for the gratuitous rev limiter.
Where can I buy this stuff
+성찬서 In china town...
Walmart
+성찬서 런던에 많이 있다 ㅋㅋ
Should've kept the power the same or around 590bhp instead of 570, it wouldn't feel like such a decrease then
It wouldn't feel like a loss taking into account awd drive train losses to the wheels...probably putting a little more to the Tarmac but would evenout as awd would have more more traction. Straight line I would guess once up and moving you wouldn't be able to tell
What's more expensive and has a better experience, An R8, or a Hurcan? (i'm lazy to google the price)
Huracan is more expensive and arguably offers a better experience.
+john marsh just like a bentley, you know, its a skoda underneath, everyone knows that
this car is gorgeous...and red hot.
why 30 hp less than the 4 wheel drive?
because of the marketting
The 580, and 610 are equal. Taking out the 4WD system would make the 580 MUCH lighter, so that'll help it when going against a 4WD
My dream car ..
Can we please stop with the constant "They don't want me to do it, but I'm going to turn off traction control" aren't I a naughty boy?
Please just be honest the video wouldn't be airing if Lamborghini in this case didn't tacitly approve of such things.
+Alasdair Macdonald I was thinking the same thing, because every motoring journo seems to lead off with that comment.
+Alasdair Macdonald It's probably true. It makes sense that they would have a group of journalists reviewing the car on one day when they have the track reserved. is it me or does this look better than the 610
Black Mamba it does lol
I dislike the redesigned front nose. I really like the 610's more angular snout. Can't win 'em all I guess. the 2016 R8 is looking good.
571bhp... then why did they round it up to the (580) name?
C'mon Lambaudi, who are you trying to kid. Should be the 570-2.
Not much more of a step up from the 560-4 tbh.
571 bhp= 580 PS
571 BHP = 580 PS
Show de maquina,
Huracan = Audi R8 in an Italian suit.
yea great if you want a drift car but this car isn't made or set up for drifting and burning rubber will put a hole in your pocket so what fun is there to have if the car goes easily bonkers when taking a corner cannot even compete

+KaneDesigns There are better versions of it coming....Superleggera etc.
Think a manual option will come?
+KaneDesigns Probably not, but one can hope.
+KaneDesigns No. The Gallardo was the last Lambo with manual.
+Mo B you cannot claim that with full certainty.
RWD Lambo is just weird for me :)
looks like a lot of fun tho
Now give us a proper manual gearbox and this car would be perfect!
Thank you
but is it better than a range rover?
Ahahahahahahahah...nationalism??
People always compare that 458 was more fun than the huracan.yes!!!!because 458 was rwd but the huracan was awd.Now the huracan was rwd and i really want to see which is a better car.its not like that i hate 458,its a great car but please dont compare rwd with awd in term of fun
bit sad that you make the video as if you where the one drifting. you can see that on those cuts there is no camera on the passenger sit.
But why does it have less hp?
+paouvous Else would maybe have too mush power to handle
It doesn't need as much crank power because with 2wd it has less drivetrain loss So maybe they dialed back some hp for reliability. It still makes more hp at the wheels than the AWD model.
The McLaren 675 LT pushes 675 hp to the rear wheels though, thats quite impressive
+Andreas Lie 666hp and that's at the crank not the wheels, just to clarify.
Its 666 bhp, not hp or ps
So now that the 458 is outta production Lamborghini and McLaren go ahead and make worthy competitors for it. Great. Well id still like to see a competition between the 570S, the 458 and this Huracan
It sounds odd off throttle
Add a manual and it would be even better.
But i find it incredibly stupid they lower the power, If anything raising it would be better.
+Dre Ray I'm not sure how a manual would make it better from a racing standpoint; that would be a more personal preference OFF the track. But I guess once again "they" don't know what they're doing.
this car needs chris harris
so beautiful when sideways
Why does a buyer need a RWD less powerfull and softer huracan, when there's enough RWD alternatives with the same and better performance e.g. Ferrari, the only advantage of Lambo is AWD system allowing to make fast 0-200 kmph, it's not very track focused.
+Ab Am V10, Lambo looks.
For a pure and fun feeling, this isn't made for jaw dropping lap times.
+Ab Am Also, a NA engine.
+Ab Am 165k, german engineering, N/A V10 that revs too 8800rpm, brilliant dual clutch gearbox.
***** Lol showing off, basically you could say that for anycar really, no car is for only showing off.
Lamborghini Huracan or Ferrari 488 GTB?
That's a good question! I think Ferrari is more sofisticated but that NA V10 in the Lambo screams so beautiful and sometimes that is all what you need. Next weekend I'll get to drive this Hurrican for one day!! - and I'm a regular dude who never drove a supercar before so that shall be interesting. I'll post a video on my channel:)
*takes first corner* "wow, it's just so much more playful than the all wheel drive version" really?!? -_-
vendo essa maquina lenbro do forza2 kkk so qie a do forsa era amarela kkk
perfect car.
I cant' believe I like this one over the diablo!
The car looks so uncomfortable getting the rear out
WANT!!
Lamborghini wow man
they put less power than the normal hurucan!?!?!
Now only if modern super cars came with manuals
+Harman Sanghera right. gotta snatch up them audi r8 v8 manuals before they become collectable
+usagentcyclone more like the early v10 plus with manual. Or the lp640 manual are still cheap.
+Harman Sanghera Knowing how fast and responsive today's supercars are, you won't have the time to change a gear manually. You're much better off with a paddle shifter.
that was beautiful! =D
Vw group r killing the game
Seriously???....Just how many people drive like that on the road???
this car is really cheap in our country
this or the McLaren 570s?
My thoughts exactly...
This...it's faster, and...cmon much beatiful...
You really know how to drive a Lamborghini😆
I can just see the crazy Americans and Russians going mental for this version by doing twin turbo conversion on this 2wd model.
Ist view
Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
I can't stop repeat the minute 3:00
hi
This over LP610-4 for every single reason.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
someone finally needs to tell this dude ti speak louder...
I was fine with the gyardo ( i dont know how to spell it ) but this car awesome
Great review but it kind of feels anticlimatic for such car.
🤦🏾♂️
