I've found I adore the 540p race mode :) getting to fly with my analog friends without fighting channels and it's way more clear than I expected!
I agree 100% Seems that a lot of users are not getting that experience for some reason...My results are very good, I barely notice a difference from 720p down to 540p

I just use the 540 all the time... but its nice to have 1080p recording available on my micro whoop; there are places I can send my little walksnail whoop that no other camera cam go.
1080p60 extremely long range mountain cruising is nice too...

Hey brother, I just stumbled across your channel. Nice review of the new 540p mode, which I thought was only available with the Avatar goggles....until watching this I hadn't even realised it was available with the VRX. I also fly Sky 04x with the VRX so I'll have to update and give this a go, thanks. Btw, I thought jumbie was a word we only used in Guyana....haha. 😉

Sky o4x and VRX works with all the modes..only thing is in 1080p high frame rate you would need to switch to 4:3 otherwise a quarter of the screen would be chopped off. Hope this helps you 👍🏼
@@WindjumbieFPV so I've finally had a few days to put this new race mode through some testing with my VRX and I've come to the conclusion that it's not much better than 720p60@25mbps. I was getting 34ms typical latency which would sometimes drop down to 47ms and even 60ms in some cases. IMO the best mode for low latency on the VRX (if you're not racing) is 720p60@50mbps with focus-mode on. In this mode I get 30ms latency most of the time and it even drops as low as 28ms when I'm right next to myself. You should give it a try if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed.
@kandredfpv that’s what I has settled on, 720/50 but been flying 1080p/50 and haven’t noticed any additional latency (30-40ms)
@@WindjumbieFPV yeah 1080p/50 is also low latency for the most part, but I find the latency less consistent (i.e. I can feel it changing more when I fly behind obstacles) than 720p/25. Happy flying bro.
