So happy to be coming back for fest again this year. NYC was more epic for pogo than I could have ever imagined. Being from small town Wisco it was a very pleasant change of pace.

It would be cool to see some content about utilizing the public buses in Manhattan for shiny hunting with some recommended routes and possible stops for sightseeing. I'm not sure that anyone has made a video like this.
I'm considering the hop on hop off bus, but I know the public buses would be much cheaper.

Last year there was a mozzarella stick food truck and they were so damn good. I sure hope it’s there again! Looked like a small local business as well so that’s always enjoyable to spend money towards that.

By bathroom do they just mean Porta potties? I know in Seattle there was a couple buildings with plumbed bathrooms. Any plumbed facilities last year?
There are actual permanent bathrooms at the park but they might supplement with porta pottys too. The official NYC Bathrooms map linked in the description of the vid will show you where permanent bathrooms are located!

Yes! If you look at the map (link in the description of the video), any icon that looks like a Blue Pokestop is actually a charging station - they have wires there too if you need them.
I'm flying into Laguardia at 8am on Friday morning to play at 9am on the 5th. What mode of transportation do you recommend from the airport to the island? I was thinking about getting an uber, but now i don't know where to be dropped off. Plus, I'm sure an uber is expensive. So what should I do?
The M60 SBS is a bus that takes you from the airport to 125th street and Lexington Avenue non stop and I think it was recently made free. From there you can hop on the X80 across the street for 7 bucks to and from the park.

If you're staying in Midtown and don't mind paying extra, the ferry is great!
If you're staying anywhere else in NYC or don't want to pay extra for the ferry, X80 is also a solid choice.
We have tickets for the Island open Sat afternoon. Buying tickets for the ferry. What time to we need to get to the dock on E35th St to allow for lines, travel time, etc to make it to the park on time?
It will definitely be busier at the start of the day, middle of the day when the park times switch, and at the very end of the day. I would try to allot 30-45 minutes extra to be at pier before you want to be on the island, and probably 30 minutes extra for getting off the island.
Thanks for the map! Do you know if we HAVE to enter the park where our ticket stipulates? My ticket says south entrance, but can we enter at the north entrance?
Last year it didn't matter your location there was no check-in. Everything just appears in game during your ticketed time.

It doesn’t matter if you have north or south entrance once your at the park during your time you will see event stuff

34th Street and East River (the ferry piers) should get you there!

It will probably be a tent next to the Merch store itself (that's how it was last year)
Will I only be able to play during the specific times? If I buy Friday the 5th at 9am-1pm will it only be able to play the event during that time and that time only ?
You can play in the Park at that time, you won't be able to play in the park during any other time. You can play in the city the entire day if you wanted to tho!
@@MrsMime100 I bought Friday and Saturday, Friday for the park event and city and Saturday for the city experience ! Hope to get a few shundos! If not hope to get to add to my collection! For event I’ll be attending !

Walking is not really possible but you can take the m60 bus from LaGuardia and transfer at 125th and Lexington Ave for the X80 bus. You could have taken the m60 bus to 125th Street and 1st Ave and just walk across the RFK bridge to Randall's Island Park if you don't want to pay for the X80 bus
So my ticket is for the north entrance of the event. And I am in a hotel in Manhattan, so your saying that the south entrance will be pick up and drop off only and the north entrance will ONLY have a pick up for the x80 bus correct? Pls respond asap. My ticket day is Saturday morning
The "entrance" on your ticket doesn't actually matter (they do that so one method of entry doesn't get bottlenecked). Once you get to the Park, you'll be able to start playing regardless of what entrance you come thru

@acemalphur4208 Yes, the bus stop that is in the Rugged Quarry biome near the North is for anyone leaving the island only

Riding the bus is a good option! There are a number of buses that run from Bryant Park all the way to the southern tip of Manhattan (like the M55). You can take it down and then ride another one back uptown to Bryant Park!
@MrsMime100 that's a good idea. Is there an underground or large above mall in NYC? That's usually a goto in Toronto where I'm from.

Unrelated to your video but are there any good spots you’d recommend to view 4th of July fireworks on Thursday?
Ooo good question. So I've never been live myself by anywhere along the westside piers between like 4th st and 34th St should get you a decent view (they say to show up an hour ahead of when it starts to get a good spot).
Alternately, if you can find a rooftop bar close to the west side, you might have an even better view.

@@MrsMime100 My favorite spot to view the fireworks on the Hudson would be at Hoboken pier A Park. It’s just a quick path train ride across the river and you get to see the city in the background while the fireworks are going off.

That's more on NY unfortunately. (The X80 bus runs for other special events on Randall's Island too and I think those are pretty much the only stops they do 🤷)
Where about on Randall’s Island are they keeping the illegal immigrants and is it safe ?
