You guys are a bunch of fucking haters. Do you know how hard it is to have the exact sound/tone your recorded version is on??? Like wow holy fuck Mario makes mistakes. I bet none of you could even play his guitar part. And as far as vocals goes. He is under a lot of pressure doing basically the only song chon does with vocals. Give the guy a break. For a live performance, I'd say this was pretty fucking good.
What kind of a live mix is this? like damn, this sounds like crap and not balanced/mixed well at all! (I understand they probably had no say in it being audiotree) Drew sounds so much better on my Grow vinyl lol sadly, i'm disappointed by this and being without Nathan on the kit sounds awkward to me
Why? He isn't a particularly good singer, only plucks a few root notes on bass, and doesn't offer much in terms of musical creativity. They can find someone a LOT better than Drew
While I agree. He represented a good, positive image for the band. He was also the only one to bring life into the band. I know I'll get those people with the usual "Music is done from the heart, and we don't need 'image' or 'fame'" But with Drew, they had a better chance to grab a wider audience. Without Drew, it seems like they'll stay in the same spot as most math bands usually die into. In the underground with a cult following. I would love these guys to go bigger.
xcarflyx: I think you're wrong man. Chon stand out from other math rock/prog bands. They've found a unique niche that no other band really comes close to. And that's due to Mario, Erick and Nathan and their prodigious talents. Drew was kind of out shined by them and I think they could find someone else who's closer to their skill level.
@@heatseeker9738 but Drew was basically their frontman, like I know that Erick has now taken that title but drew was so much fun to watch and like listening to him talk during group interviews was amazing
Drew left the band because he became post malone.
The first time i hear mario missed some notes
That solo is way harder to play than it seems
That solo is way harder to play than it seems

if you know it, do it!
is that brian evans on the kit?? love his added parts, such a sick drummer
This looked so awkward but hey they still made it work even with the audio being fucked up
