Being a millionaire doesn't make you disciplined. Add the millions on top and they can OVER-INDULGE in their vices. That's easier said than done. Shit, I went from making like 21k a year to 60k a year within two years and .... listen, let's just say I had to catch myself because I indulged. Imagine millions.
Yo Kobe wanted Shaq to do this, and then Shaq went to the one team that would make him do this and he won 🤯. Actually mind shattering, actually a whole nother level to the story. Makes me think if Shaq was doing this in LA, no way Ben Wallace and Detroit beat them.
Losing that series had nothing to do with Shaq's weight and conditioning. It was team chemistry, Karl Malone got hurt, and the Pistons just outplayed them
@shawncain882 true.. but shaq was missing games due to his weight which caused alot of his low body injuries... imagine if shaq was always in shape during his Lakers tenure
@edwardfisher9930 , His body could have broken down due to long playoff runs, which cause him to play a lot of extra games. It's an overgeneralization to say weight and conditioning was the primary cause of Shaq's injuries in his Lakers years. He was 300+ pounds and played with a lot of force and power, and that takes a toll on your body, regardless of how good of shape you're in
@@mdp5775 never heard who say? Just Google the meeting. Never said Riley was perfect either. But Shaq talks highly of Pat now, said differences were handled. Plus Shaq always beefed with management. Wade also said he loves Pat to this day.
Shaq had issues with Riley too. But it's all about ego. Riley run the shit how he run it, he doesn't care if you're a top 10 all time player like Bron or Shaq
I've witnessed NBA work-outs. I guarantee your job isn't as mentally/physically taxing by a long shot. Then we're adding on that these are PAT RILEY workouts which are notoriously grueling, even by pro-standards. Shit, I remember my cousin playing at a small D-1 college and his first week, he cried everyday to come back home.
dude, call me a hater but the hear dont have enough consistent success to be requiring alll this ...especially during the time he's talking about. Then again they've been to the finals more than any other team since 2000 except the lakers , 7 times in 24 seaons is pretty impressive.
Wdym “they don’t enough consistent success” you said it yourself we have been successful… of course what matters at the end is if we win or not. People act like the Heat aren’t doing everything they can to win.
Ain't no way they got all that talent and be in the play-in or the 8th seed before that every year! Cuz other teams are fresh and this dude Pat got them boys killing each other and dying in practice when they should be saving it for the games smh
All that talent? Tf are you talking about. They've been in 2 of the last 5 NBA Finals with borderline D-League talent outside Jimmy, Bam, Herro, and a couple other dudes. The way that they developed Gabe and Strus and Dunc and Highsmith etc. Beating Giannis and them beating Boston teams with way more talent. It's a testament to how well that organization is run. But this is the NBA you need super talent and that's why they haven't been able to get over the hump.
it’s really hard for me to understand how…..”athletes” who make 50+millions dollars a year to play basketball, but somehow can’t be motivated to not be fat and lazy. Cough cough Shaq!
We need to get Pat Riley in here
He may come but he maybe to bougie Idk for them or the ohs he went on d wade podcast.
Pat a godfather in the game of basketball. From LA to NY to Mia, good luck getting him on a couch
cold day in hell😂
That’s a VERY busy man.
Toine Walker was the man at Kentucky, Celtics and the Heat. Can’t wait to check this episode out!
I imagine Shaq paying his fines up front for the season
Im crying 😭
😂😂😂
Shaq actually opened up his gyms because of Rileys weight program!!!! Ppl dont know that...
👀looking forward too this one. The Mitch Richmond one was great last week 🔥🔥 hopefully can get Pat on himself too 💯
Yo Toine is a legend. Looking forward to this one.
GREAT TO SEE YOU ANTOINE WALKER MISSED YOU IN MINNESOTA AND BOSTON
Kobe and pat discipline 💪🏾 would have been great in a organization together
These athletes making millions of dollars. Make it seem like it was so hard to do. Thats crazy

Wallace a DAWG he had Shaq locked up no matter what his condition be fam
The story the way Shaq tells it is Phil Jackson told him to not do all that work in the off season because he wanted a fresh Shaq.
Think he needs to be back on it
That's why you a NBA Champion
I would love to hear what the Heat workouts consist of
Employee number 8 was nice. Who was better between him Caron butler?
Only LeBron tried to make Pat look bad. Every other dude speaks so highly of him
Did he? Never heard him say anything. JWill said Shaq almost punched Riley though. And Wade left the heat because he felt riley betrayed him
@@mdp5775 never heard who say? Just Google the meeting. Never said Riley was perfect either. But Shaq talks highly of Pat now, said differences were handled. Plus Shaq always beefed with management. Wade also said he loves Pat to this day.
Not true, stop lying, he never spoke bad about Riley
Shaq had issues with Riley too. But it's all about ego. Riley run the shit how he run it, he doesn't care if you're a top 10 all time player like Bron or Shaq
LeBron a h0e… are we shocked by that
What a workout.lol 😂
8 % body fat is a borderline élite bodybuilder number and just ridiculous
That's why Patrick James Riley is the G.O.A.T of NBA Coaches
I heard from an X-Men (Xavier McDaniel) interview that Riles used to practice players 2 a days before the actual regular games!!!
When the NBA puts a team in Vegas they’re going to have to bring in somebody from the Heat to install a similar culture.
8am-6pm.. so in other words, a normal work day? Lol
lol nba players are beyond privileged
if it was that easy, you would have been in a NBA uniform lol

Exactly they not used to it
U couldn’t handle half a day of what these guys do
This man should be in undisputed rn… rip ShannonxSkip
Imagine a coach demanding a professional athlete making millions of dollars a year be in peak physical condition. Children
You mean act like a professional athlete? The irony.
CYBER TOINE!
8% at 250? Cmon man pat was tripping
Shaq,big-ass!

Are you dumb

Luka to Miami
This is going to sound a way, but if Antoine had all his fine money back he wouldn't have went broke.
Pat Riley also benched Walker and posey because Shaq was over weight and he couldn't bench him. He did it ti make a point. A stupid point,
He was no 260 with 12% body fat 😂
Ain't no way they got all that talent and be in the play-in or the 8th seed before that every year! Cuz other teams are fresh and this dude Pat got them boys killing each other and dying in practice when they should be saving it for the games smh

245 at 8????
12% at 260 was more atrocious lol
The braintrust on the smoke is underwhelming
I love the Heat but I feel like this "culture" bull......wears the players out!
Expecting professional athletes to be in the best possible shape is too much to ask?
When you win nine championships like Pat Riley, you can dictate what the culture should be and when it should wear out, everything. Until then shhh 🤫
Imagine YOU saying it's bull when the players say it works lol
