Great video sir. I am trying to find and remote starter for my 2009 platinum edition ford 150. And seems to be nothing but up to 2008 or feom 2011 and up. Is thwre a reason or is this 2009 year a lemon build ? Thank you. Been looking for uears now to find something that will work with it. Great detailed videos and in explaining things. Very smooth.
Hey I really appreciate it. So there is a aftermarket for 2004-2008 then one for 2009-2010 by mpc. Personally I would go with a Compustar remote start. If you’re in the north ga area I can help you out. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardJunkie thanks for the reply my friend. I'm in Canada. Sorry I definitely would of stopped by . Thanks for the tips. I'm still concern of the platinum edition though. It seems to be wired or programed it softwares and stuff by Lincoln or something. Not sure. Remember the ford forums they all had issues with this edition model. Much appreciated my friend. Thank you.

I believe they used a different module so this wouldn’t work for you. However they do make second had easy to hook up for your truck. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Yes this truck has aftermarket radio. So no worries it’ll work. Although I do recommend my other video for bi directional remote start. Best of luck thanks for watching!
I have a question I really hope you can help me out with I've checked all my fuses and don't find any blown but the vehicle will not go into programming mode after cycling the keys 8 times the vehicle is inactive alarm mode so I am unable to program keys
Unfortunately you will need a deeper look into this. But where I would start is taking your switch off and back probe it to see if it’s getting power and sending power. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
I have the ms906bt I believe. Ya just like other models they have more basic models like the mx can’t remember the numbers. Which one do you have? Have you already did all of your updates?

Hey man I wanted to comment a question on your most recent video so you would see it, have you ever installed the OEM rear view mirror with the compass and auto dim in your s197? Whenever I bought the car a few years ago I just realized the wires for the mirror were just not there at all. I ordered a new one off of eBay but it’s just the mirror with the 3 wires but I have no idea what I’m supposed to do from there, I thought it would be a plug in bada boom bam done situation, but no…. Just wanted some help or advice if you had any, thanks man your s197 vids are awesome keep it up
Haha good thinking. But for the future the easiest way for me to see it is whatever video your watching write a new comment on it. This notifies me and I’ll be able to get back to you. I’ve never done it but I should be able to help you. So first thing can you message me on Facebook? This way you can send me pics and tell me which one you bought. Look up junkyard junkie it’ll have the same pic as this one. And I got more videos coming down the pipe line so stayed tuned for those! Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardJunkie yes sir I do have Facebook, I’ve been trying to find you on there but for some reason I can’t find your account at all, I tried using the link in your “about” section but it doesn’t bring anything up lol
If you don’t have a scan tool to program it then you need two. But, there is a thing you can buy that will program it for you. Here’s the link to it: Simple Key Programmer with 4 Button Remote Start Key - fits Ford & Lincoln Vehicles (Program Key Yourself) a.co/d/bpqDDTJ Realistically I feel if you spend about 250$ more you can get a Autel scan tool that can program the keys for you and have a lot of other useful features in the future. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Unfortunately no not that I know of. But if you check out my bidirectional remote start video for these trucks that one you can click twice and it will notify you it started. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

From what I remember the xl doesn’t have the place to plug it in on the passenger side door. I would double check. If it’s there your good to go. Otherwise I have a video coming out in the near future showing how to install bidirectional remote start on any trim. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
Almost all of the Autel tablets will program keys but always double check. Look for anything saying key programming and immo programming. Same with the remote start most will be able to configure it but double check the information when purchasing.
