- Today, I've ranked every single mainline entry of the Assassins Creed franchise on a tier list ranging from S - F tier
Assassin's Creed by Ubisoft is a gaming juggernaut that blends genres. I was lucky to buy Unity after they fixed bugs and a lot of people were playing the game. I find the story cool, a love story in Paris makes sense, but I really liked the setting and how they showed the brutality during Revolution times.
The house interior exploration, the parkour and combat are perfect for me. And the game is very beautiful.

@@m.zrihenxvii3206 get a series s. I’m a PlayStation player have all of the consoles(except for 5 have played on it though) found mine at Walmart. Runs perfectly at 1440p 60fps. This is my first Xbox and I am in love with the console. So many more deals on games than PlayStation, gamepass is a HUGE plus, and you can do so much more on an Xbox than a PlayStation. They are easy to find to but will get harder to find pretty soon be on the lookout because 300 for this console is a steal.

Maybe it's just me but I never found it such.
I don't why but it felt like the parkour system took 2 steps back compared to Black Flag.
People have been saying there are less bugs yet half my experiences in the damn game is how messy and buggy the parkour was.
if you go into unity’s game settings, turn on light hud & put on ezios outfit or a white outfit it literally becomes the closest you can get to a modern ac2. unity is a great game imo
ac 2 with better parkour animations and more weapon choices. but i prefer ezios character over arno

I completely agree with everything accept unity. I feel like you did it dirty considering how intense and alive that game feels. The beauty and architecture and structure of the game is sublime to a lot of other graphics. I feel like we should appreciate how ahead of it’s time it was. I say a or b at least
@@TheSupremeMedjay STILL, they improved and for the players that either replayed the game or started playing after the buggy mess it was. Its genuanly one of the best games. This is the best typical(with this i mean that ur playing as a normal assassin unlike ezio/blackflag) ac game giving probally the best parkour in the whole franchise, after this they toned down with parkour which i find saddening as it was one of the core gameplay features. The story i will admit was not the best, but the world around the story is amazing.
Try to look at what the games are now and not what they used to be, believe me its way better.

Bought black flag in 2016 when I was a tween and hated it because it felt clunky. Now I just got back into it this year in 2021 and love it! Probably because I actually bothered to learn the mechanics this time around lol

The crusades of assassins creed 1 were my favorite time in the series, and I’m pissed they still haven’t went back. The only complaint I have with assassins creed 1, is that I wanted more story, other than that, I give the game an S personally.
AC2 for me was amazing I played it when i was a kid and got me into AC world. The best thing there for me was the "special missions" if i can call it that way, where you had to chase enemy or assassinate a priority target without being spotted and so on. That was so cool for me, it gave me something to strive for. I missed that in Origins and Valhalla
@@knightnxk2906 in Valhalla, you don’t hear a banging soundtrack when you load into a city, sense each city had their own soundtrack, Assassins creed 1 and Assassins creed 2 nailed that part of the ambience, especially the music when entering Rome for the 1st time in Assassins creed 2.

Don't let the nostalgia fool you. It's not a good game, maybe for it's time. Ac 2 was kinda fun, but I was a bit mad the whole map wasn't unlocked at all times.

@@dotzdotz4250 it kinda is an AC game just without the brotherhood and templars. It has the main theme of Order vs Chaos in it and the game introduces us to the order of the ancients who later becomes the Templars. Also Kassandra/Alexios is the ancestor of Aya who is one of the founders of the brotherhood. Also also the game is chrologically the first use of the hidden blade. It shows us many many Isu artifacts and shows us their strength and destructive capabilities.
@@dotzdotz4250 despite that, Odyssey is still an awesome game if the "Assassin's Creed" part is taken away. Unity is definitely not bad of a game, but does have its flaws. Therefore he rightfully put Odyssey above Unity (though I think I personally put Unity above Odyssey in my ranking too, lol).
Unity was the first AC game I played when I was younger, and it made me love the series. I went back about a year later to replay it and wasn’t disappointed. It’s a great definite A tier game.
Heres just an appreciation comment for, in my opnion, the best AC game made: the masterpiece that is Assassin's Creed Origins.

AC Odyssey. On 2 occasions I have tried to play it and after I get around 25-30 hours in could not continue and stopped playing. It is honestly so boring dull and shit. I would hope for so much more for a game set in one of my favourite parts of history.

as much as i want to agree, i’d say A is more fair. the launch bugs are inexcusable, but once the bugs and glitches were ironed out it quickly became one of my favorites. maybe even favorite really

Not really, story was complete trash, that + the bugs that still stand to this day makes it a B, maybe even an A, loved the parkour but it's extremely unrealistic.

Odyssey is an incredible game, S tier for sure. But as an “assassins creed” game it can’t reach that tier as it moves too far away from the whole assassins vs templars concept

I'm amazed that you put Black flag on S tier, this was my first AC to play and I still love it to date, and then I played Rouge and look at my surprise to see the map to be the exact same lol
I always felt bad when I would proclaim that 4 was the best game up to that point. I actually think that the story was a bit weaker in some areas, but the superior gameplay easily overshadowed those imperfections.
im 200hrs in on AC Odyssey and i've just started on the NewGame+, time to play as Kassandra this time. BlackFlag is very enjoyable too, especially sailing while listening to relaxing shanties

I like most of the AC Games. AC1 has a simplistic but great story, The Ezio Games are fantastic, AC3 is super underrated, AC4 is my all time favorite, Unity has a lot going for it, Syndicate is very unique, Origins is a great revival of the series and Valhalla has a fantastic introduction.

Valhalla is my favorite because of the viking era which I love and the norse mythology really goes with what I believe in I've been fascinated with Norse gods and vikings since I was a kid

I played Unity without many bugs and it’s one of my favorites of the franchise. The setting and customization options were enough for me to love it. As for games like Odyssey…it was fun but has no business being an assassins creed game. Absolutely nothing about that game was assassins creed. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if Ubisoft started a new series with the likes of Odyssey and Valhalla, though I loved Origins and thought it fit the AC story well.
As much as I absolutely loved odyssey I have to agree. The lack of relation to the ac story, except for the isu history and the first dlc, is def the biggest con I have for the game.

Odyssey is best assassins game ever made. As for games like Unity.... it was not even worth 15 min of my time. And if you didnt know in Origins, Odyssey and Valhala you can play as ASSASSIN. You have skill tree there in Odyssey its on the right side of the screen.
@@Twixme90 just cause they give you the ability to get assassin skills doesn’t mean it’s an assassin game. The way it’s laid out doesn’t allow for tight quarters AC style play. You’re a mercenary not an assassin. The only thing in the story that gives an AC feeling is the order of the ancients but that’s mostly optional side stuff
@@udontgotJack I dont know where did you get that. Have you played the game as Assassin? Forts, camps, missions are all created for assassins gameplay. You can infiltrate each enemy camp or fort as assassin and operate like there inside with many tight quarters. Game has simply evolved giving you more options. Gameplay is same as Origins altho you have "Assassin" story there, but you can still play it as warrior. Black Flag is most loved Assassins creed game out there, and you are pirate not assassin. You have naval fights, melee combat, you are captan, hunter and fisherman all in one. In Rogue you are Templar. Why didnt you then think, hey this is not assassins game. Odyssey is hell of game it has almost 90% positive of 125 k reviews.
I play AC since the first game, Black Flag was on #1 for me for a long time, but Unity took that spot nowadays (after the patches and the FPS boost on the series X). Its the last AC with the core elements of the franchise. I had fun with Syndicate or Origins or Odyssey or even Valhalla, but Unity is my personal masterpiece.

Assassin's creed syndicate is incredible and most underrated. It's my personal favorite and i loved the grappling hook

AC ODYSSEY HAS MY HEART TBH its like the best "filler episode" to assassins creed it's absolutely refreshing (in my opinion) and Alexios is just a bad ass I love him as a character and wouldn't mind to have another game with him

Yup odyssey for me is #1 and origins is super close behind it. I also would rate the AC 1 higher at an A, I played it when it first came out and the whole game was just impressive. There was no game like that before it and the graphics were top of the line for the year it came out

It's too hard to choose. From AC all the way to Valhalla I literally enjoyed every single main title. They are all perfect in there own way. All I can say as a long time gamer man Ubisoft kept it going for years and never got disappointed.

I will always love the original Assassin's Creed games, specifically the Desmond Miles arc. I did like Black Flag, couldn't get into Unity, I eventually was able to get into Origins and I actually enjoyed it a lot, especially Ba-Yek cause he was a hell of an Assassin. Funny enough, when I was younger, I played Assassin's Creed III and didn't really like it. As I got older, I understood it and then I liked it. It had a dark story.
It's nice to come across someone that appreciates the rpg games as much as I do.
Not sure about those people shocked at looking at your rankings but for me who's played every assassin's creed game EXCLUDING Oddysey and Valhalla, I agree with you. I loved assassin's creed unity as well and I didn't really like the whole idea of ac orgins when it came out, trust me the only thing I was playing once I downloaded ac orgins was just ac orgins. I finished unity and every other game but this one just keeps me coming back to the game, it's just so satisfying to play and the open world is not only large but it is also detailed. One of the details I absolutely loved was the hallucinations bayek gets while travel through the desert under the heat of the sun. Sometimes he sees a Flippin fish, sometimes showing a man throwing a staff which turns into a snake ( I think that would be a reference to Moses) and some others as well. One that really surprised me was when I played it for the first time, i couldn't defeat the guards as their level was quite high, I tried escaping from the water and they knew what I was trying to do, they even said a line which was something like "Think staying in water will save you?" and I was just shocked I tried to hurry up and get out but they killed me with their ranged attacks. I really wish I recorded that lol
If you have not played valhalla nor Oddysey and think that unity was good, just play them lol. You will see it as a masterpiece compared to them lmao. Especially valhalla

Odyssey definitely deserves ALL the hate it gets. Long time fan and I don’t mind the rpg entries but it fails as an AC game and an RPG. Some of the WORST level gating I’ve seen in some time.
At first I really liked odyssey. I like Ancient Greece a lot so that was where a lot of my bias came from. But the story is just predictable and your choices don’t even make an impact apart from how many naval generals you get at the end of the game. The leveling and the stupid question marks around the map makes it an absolute pain in the ass (especially for 100%ers) and it just exists because money because of the ridiculous level system that heavily entices micro transactions and oh my god the amount of shit locked behind money (it’s even worse in Valhalla). These two games are my least favourite in the entire series because of these reasons (Valhalla’s pacing is also terrible).
Unity has grown and gotten so much better and you did it dirty on this list bc it’s an amazing game from gameplay to missions to the city itself it’s amazing

AC Unity is A tier for me. B at the least. The open world feels so lively and looks amazing. And unlike most AC fans I don't hate romantic stories and I enjoy new takes on games. The fact that his reasons for becoming a assassin wasn't the same as the others before him just makes it even more interesting to me. He didn't become an assassin because of some sense of duty or high moral code but because he was vengeful and heartbroken, which makes the character and his story feel honest and real in my opinion. He has to learn what it means to be an assassin and through that process he becomes both stronger and wiser. That's just my opinion though.
Origins is one of the best games of all time. The story, the gameplay and the setting, ancient Egypt (not Kemet). I'm playing it for the second time now because I finally have a PS5 and it's absolutely beautiful. 60fps and the graphics are amazing. And the discovery tour is a great add on to the game. This is a true masterpiece!

I think the assassins creed series are the most interesting games out there, because depending on what settings you enjoy, what stories you want to sit through, what play styles you prefer, what weapons you wish to use mostly, can completely subjectively change your opinion - I began with Valhalla (I wish I had known of the games earlier in my life!), absolutely adored it because the viking theme runs deeply with me and the gameplay (other than mid story boringness) was phenomenal. Ive since played origins, then odyssey, and Im now finally playing the ezio trilogy and im halfway through! I can honestly say I prefer the story elements of the original games and yet despite the parkour being really sick, its janky as hell at first and quite skilled later on - so they all have their positives and negatives - I think its up to you in how you can enjoy it personally! I cant stand ac 2’s parkour yet I love the game, and ac brotherhood is much better. I dont like how long it takes to get to places in ac origins to valhalla, yet it adds new and much needed interesting components with unique and really awesome stories that have their worth too!
I played 1, 2, brotherhood, revelations on my old pc, and I stopped playing further episodes for a while since my pc failed to run any ac games right after 3.
after I get my new pc in 2021, I straight up skipped 3, liberation, 4, freedom cry, rogue, I directly went to play AC Unity first. because I was amazed by the new gen graphics a long time since 2014.
As far as I know, most of the serious glitches have been removed, and it is a really good AC games to me.
In my opinion, Unity has the most convincing Paris to date.
though I agree to you about the story not being good as we think, but I still like it. A simple, love story happened in an era of chaos

@@Monkeh516 Sry for my bad english, I mean I already have got my new pc at the moment I left my first comment. After I finished playing Unity, I tried Syndicate, then AC3, Liberation, Origins, and now I am playing Odyssey. So far, I love any of the AC games I tried. When people keep complaining "this franchise is dead, losing faith in Assassin's Creed", I am still enjoying them, guess I'm a really weird fan.I I'll go back to AC4, Freedom Cry and Rogue, and of course the 2d trilogy is on my list too.

As someone who never attempted to complete everything in a game after finishing the story missions, AC 2 was the first game I truly wanted to just run around endlessly for hours even after I completed the story, and to this day it is the only game I have nearly fully completed at 95% completion on my Xbox 360. For this reason alone it will be my No.1 Assassin's Creed game of all time.

Agreed, Odyssey was one of the worst gaming experiences I ever had. It was not a good AC game and it also was not a good RPG; it tried to be Witcher 3 but failed in the meaningful choices/consequences system dialogue in everyway (way too obvious the meaninglessness of the choices), the story was too loose and unfocused and the dialogue was garbage (they wrote it way too unisex, to account for you being a man or woman, for it to sound natural). The gameplay was button mashing in the worst kind of way; the map was absolutely gigantic with so much copy and pasted content it became mind numbing after the first 20 hours. Origins made me annoyed with how pointlessly big the map was; Odyssey increased that by about a factor of 4.
I am going back and playing AC 1 through Rogue (on Revelations now) and the difference is palpable.

@@dushbag that’s not gameplay. That is combat animations. Which in Odyssey look good. Gameplay includes all elements such as climbing mechanics, objectives, questing systems, character progression/experience and skill trees, all elements of the combat mechanics and so on. Odyssey did all of this bad in comparison to other RPGs, especially open world rpgs, and other AC games. Especially with how repetitive the quests/objectives and button mashing the combat. Sure the animations look cool but they get a bit dull after you use them each 4 to 8 times per enemy you kill cause they are tanks that absorb huge amounts of damage (clearly a design feature to try to push players to buying booster packs).
Face it man the combat itself was much better in the previous titles even if the kill animations weren’t as ‘cool’.

all i have to say is when i saw Unity ran perfectly on ultra settings on my rubbish rig...i was impressed, good optimised game graphicwise for that time.
Syndicate runs like twice as bad for me. Its wierd since it looks and plays worse
I was always wondering what would the outcome be, if younger Assassin's creed players make such tier lists.
I mean, it is clear that people who grew up playing with Altair and Ezio 12 years ago, tend to hate the upcoming ones. Yeah we get it the first 2 are Legendary, but...
In my opinion, AC 3 has the best figthing mechanism, Unity has an epic story and main character, Black flag is also very good and enjoyable.
The thing about rogue is that the Caribbean templars are actually good guys, in all the games involving them
ACU with the bug fixes was genuinely a fun experience for me, and while i did overdose on MP like an addict a bit too much, it was also part of the fun 😂
I just downloaded ac syndicate as my first ac game and wow it is an amazing experience. The story is good the missions are cool and i just love to walk around London. Would recommend
I also played it first and loved, but u should try one of the S tier ones. They are just a whole other experience.
Definitely try out black flag. Still one of the best games not ac games but GAME I’ve ever played

Black Flag and Origins are my favourites, but I've also really enjoyed Valhalla. Not played any other AC games, so your video has go me eager to try some of the earlier games as well now.

I liked Valhalla, it's more of a Viking adventure than an AC game really, but the story and combat are really good. Give it a chance, Valhalla is bit of a slow burn to begin with, but it soon develops onto an epic adventure with some awesome big battles!
If you like black flag and origins. I would definitely pickup Unity. Its so damn good.

Finally, someone with a fair review for odyssey. People make it out like it is horrible because every freaking mission is not stealth (but there are forts, camps, cities that you would not live through without stealth). On top of that, people are mad there’s no assassins, but use your brain, a mercenary is basically an assassin (ok not every time but early into the game you get a kill mission for someone’s head.

The mix between the Isu, mythology, and assassin storyline in Valhalla doesn't get enough love, in my opinion. It's like Odyssey's Atlantis DLC, but instead in the main storyline and better storytelling

I remember raiding nottfal. The npcs that we’re on my side KEPT BLOWING ME UP when I was fighting everyone. I probably died 4 or 5 times in that one raid, and I got so angry.
I think a big part of Valhalla feeling "drawn out" is the intended session length. Ubisoft basically designed Valhalla so the ideal play session is exactly one region long. This makes the game very difficult to stomach when binged or played in shorter sessions and creates the feeling of it being drawn out
that game sucks. Valhalla is the worst AC game ever. Even the name stinks by far
I loved unity sense the day it came out! I never had any crazy bugs/glitches like other people did thankfully and I was only like 3 trophies from the platinum trophy so I put in the hours. I was confused as to why ubi was giving the dlc out for free when it came out and was confused when I heard people didn't like the game bc of bugs. Also anybody else think unties graphics were super impressive? Like the look better then some of the games that came after.
P.s I agree as most would AC black Flag is the #1 holy grail it will never be toppled by another AC title.

Honestly you can pick any of the games, they are all pretty good I'd just pick the game with the time period that interests you the most.

Unity is easily around S. It has the smoothest parkour compared to any assassin's creed game, the only thing that was holding it back were the bugs. Which after an extended period got fixed. The combat is also extremely satisfying with an excellent story to back it up with.
If people removed all past biases against Unity out of their mind, loaded it up and played through without trying to pander to popular opinions, they'd find it's easily top 3 AC games. The bugs are practically nonexistant for me and we need to stop judging a game for its shortcomings on release almost 7 years ago when they've been long since fixed.

Depends on what’s important to you. Setting, Combat, & gameplay animations were very well done, Arno & Elise as characters were pretty “meh” to me, not bad, not great. But the story is one of the most boring in my opinion. This game has its shine, but it doesn’t put it all together in the same way some of the other masterpiece S Class AC games do. (Obviously just another opinion but I figured I’d give another perspective).

Love the way you explained the S tier Games. Totally agree with every point you matched. Origins is the best game which is in the ancient Egypt time, Black Flag is the best pirate game and Brotherhood is the best game which is showing the renaissance and Rome.
