I've lived by the sea for almost 21 years now and have never seen a baby seagull before. What a treat.
Came here to say the same thing! I’m 55 and have lived by the sea for 2/3 of my life and I have NEVER EVER seen a baby seagull. What a great video this is!

If you ever see one, stay far far away. It won’t be just their parents attacking you but the whole flock of 20+ seagulls attacking you at once. Saw it happen when a coworker tried to rescue an injured one.
I've been living by the sea for 2 years and the same pair is bringing up their chicks again. Saw the previous three as babies as well, they returned for food growing up every now and again.
I live in a city with sea about 50km away and river also few km away but have seen tons of baby seagulls. They adapted to life in a city, far from water, they make nests on roofs and babies walk around the roofs, when they start flying you can see many grey seagulls walking around the yards. Problem is that people here hate them (both grown and adolescent seagulls).
Mino has a better view of the world than 90% of my life so far, and I can be at peace with that
If an animal gets to live a better life than humans, no human has the right to complain about it.

Exactly! My cat has the same relationship with a squirrel. I’ve never been fooled that it’s friendship. The squirrel comes on my porch because acorns drop there, realized pretty soon that there was a glass door separating our cat, so has no fear any longer. I now sprinkle birdseed on the porch so my cat will have kitty TV to look forward to!
I'm not convinced by the jolly muisc and framing that this is some happy, fuzzy scene of great frienship.
I'm just pleased there's a pane of glass between this lot.

It is amazing how seagulls picked a cat to be friends with and didn't take no for an answer. Sharing their life with the cat is a wonderful trust/friendship.❤❤
They are not friends. The seagulls are showing agression to the cat, and the cat learned to tolerate them.
LOL, I know. I used to live in a seaside town which is infested with damned seagulls, and they're a menace. The seagulls in the video obviously live very nearby, probably up on the roof. They're just showing their usual territorial and aggressive behaviour here. They didn't "bring the chick to visit the cat", it probably fell off the roof haha. I am usually a sucker for cutesy Dodo videos but the narrative on this one is hilarious. 😆
Why did you feel the need to post this? Is it harming anyone if they believe that something beautiful is happening here? It has brightened their day. Are you so anxious to show your 'superior' intellect that you have to take that away from them?
Well yeah, @@fridayschild, this kind of thinking could potentially be harmful, since you ask. Seagulls are horrible violent creatures, and are at their worst when nesting and raising their young. I'm not exaggerating when I say they are known for attacking humans and smaller animals. Spend some time in a seaside town (especially in the UK) and you'll see what I mean. Nothing to do with superior intellect.

Sugarcoating the world and pretending everything is ok only leads to tragedy. Yes, this is just a video of some birds getting angry at a cat while its owner feeds them, but as a species, we’ve started doing this with everything, and it’s a dangerous trend.
We’re making the species less and less intelligent through hiding the facts and getting angry at anyone who tries to teach people what’s really true.
You can’t train a dog by speaking to it with a baby voice; you have to be firm and direct or it learns nothing. The same is true with all of life. You can’t raise intelligent, well adjusted people if you tell them there’s no threat in the world, and to stop thinking about reality because fantasy land is happier.
Idiocracy is coming if we keep shutting up the people who know better. Stop being the problem.
I realize that to anyone who reads this, it probably seems to be an overreaction, and I get it. But this is a growing issue, and seeing this one person attacking at least 6 people that I’ve seen so far in these comments for telling the truth just bugged the crap out of me, so here we are; a TED talk. I haven an inkling that the seagull would peck Mino and Mino would pounce on them. Would be extraordinary to see them get along without the window screen in the way.
the seagull would likely take the cat's eye. or possibly the whole cat. on the other hand, given half the chance, the cat would take the seagull's eggs, or the chicks when they're a bit smaller than this one. which is why the seagull would attack the cat first, of course. I'm afraid they're not friends in the wild.
Is the Dodo running out of real stuff? Woman feeds seagulls and her cat is entertained by them. Which is fine- cute enough. But I’m disappointed that this is really an imaginary story, not a friendship between species.
@@StrangerNoises Maybe, however my cat made "friends" with a group of wood pigeons randomly when he was old... they would follow him around the garden, and even get up on the sunlounger next to him. That went on for months, and they never attacked each other (i should upload some video of it).

There are birds in the garden that come and tap on our kitchen window if we're not quick enough to put seed out. No they're not 'visiting' us, but they certainly know that there are people behind that glass who can give them food. There is nothing on the window sill to bring them over to the house.

I love the sound of seagulls. I live near the water so sometimes I hear them and it's just a relaxing calming sound. And this little kitty got to have new friends very cool❤😊

This is amazing to me. The only thing I've ever seen a seagull harass as humans for scraps. I never even thought they could make a bond with a cat like that, just adorable.

That cat is not being friendly, it's clearly in predator mode throughout the video.
Seagulls are very emotional creatures ; meaning,they shows excitement when they sees the food front of them with more like crying voices.
That was stinkin adorable! You see, we can ALL be friends, even if were different💜
Seagulls are also carnivores and they will try their luck at anything they can manage, and not just the smaller animals (such as kittens, puppies, doves etc). They once tried to grab my 9 month old cat who was out at my balcony.

Those probably have their nest on the roof. My father's hade seagulls on his roof or in the neighborhood for many years. He feeds them regularly, they appear at the same time at the "usual" place, on the shed (the ducks and small birds have their own "usual" places ×, the white wagtail even used to sit on the door treshold) Seagulls are clever birds and learn to recognise people. My father mostly has overalls on, but once when he hade a suit, the birds got nervous, as it was not the guy they were used to.
