There is truth to both the hot and cold remedies....cold good for immediate relief, but warmth good for healing....sometimes alternating between the two is best....
I had a Grade 3 sprain. When I followed family advice to put an ice pack on it, it was so excruciating I snatched it off. Thankfully, I had an infrared heater nearby, I turned it on and held my swollen foot up to it, and the pain started melting away so fast, I could finally stop groaning. An open mind is very useful.
Hello Jon .. can't believe I'm hearing you talk about hitting your fingernail. I just got through typing this to another friend. So I share with you too. Back in 1980 when I first came to this area where I live .. a doctor from Hot Springs, AR came to town .. I attended a meeting where he explained some interesting things. They were things that lined up with what I had learned while working in the Hospitals I was at. He said .. around each cell is a thin layer of moisture .. so thin that oxygen and other nutrients can pass back and forth between the cell and the blood stream and lymphatic system. He said when that thin layer of moisture gets thick .. then the cells begin to drown in their own fluids. This is why when a person is too sedentary and their heart rate is slow .. along with breathing the lower legs will begin to swell. This is an important indicator .. that a person should wear some support stockings and go for a walk .. breathe deeply and exercise .. moving the blood stream. He explained that some times .. you might injure your finger like with a hammer .. and left alone the flesh would swell and turn black and blue .. or under a finger nail it would make a dark clot and it would take a long time to for it to be gone with growing a new nail. When you injure yourself like that .. lets say it's a fingernail .. hold onto the nail tightly and don't let go .. then breathe fast .. hyperventilate .. and in the process you will become dizzy with extra oxygen in your system .. keep holding your fingernail .. and as you begin to feel dizzy .. just slow your breathing so that you remain dizzy .. and keep doing that until the pain in your fingernail goes away. Only then can you let up the pressure on your fingernail .. and what will happen is that you will not develop a black and blue clot under your nail .. it will return to your normal look. This is why when a person injures their ankle they should elevate it, put it on ice, and wrap it in an ace wrap or better .. compression stocking .. if you don't have that .. then put on a couple socks which will keep the swelling down and make it so that healing and oxygen exchange can happen in the tissues. I have told others about this and some have tried it and were amazed to learn it's true .. about the fingernail.
Actually you're wrong. Never put ice on a bruise because it's stops the natural healing Inflammatory process. Inflammation is the body's natural healing mechanism. In my practice as a Homeopathy doctor, I use Homeopathy ARNICA Cream for local application & Homeopathy ARNICA potency medicine, to be taken internally. This heals the bruise within 24 - 48 hours.
Thanks for your wise words Jon. About the ice though, 1970s was the evidence for ice to help, but recent studies show ice could cause longer term damage and heat may be batter after all. But then who knows what they'll discover in another 20 years😂 we just have to go with the flow❤
Trust more someone who has less motive. If someone goes out of they're way to help for free. Why will they be lying🤨 If theyre goal is to pass on something that help them. Why would they be lying.

@@timbee71 what is the difference between "me" and "my mind"? Didn't "my mind" create words to help me type this sentence out? So I am not the "thing" that decides the words in my head (or ones typed out here)?
@@futureofmoney3527 It is a common misconception that the "me" consists of what one feels, thinks, and experiences. Most people are very self-centered and they just want to see themselves as part of the universe as opposed to being separate from it. The "me" is what we call consciousness.
@@futureofmoney3527 First of all, I would like to make an argument that everything is subjective and there are no objective truths. Nobody can prove anything using reason or empirical evidence and it is impossible to say for certain whether something exists or not. This does not mean we cannot believe in things though. For example, I believe my hand exists because I can see it. However, this is not to say that my hand actually exists objectively. It could simply be a highly sophisticated virtual reality simulation and in fact there may be no such thing as physical objects. If something appears to have a certain property, we cannot conclude whether or not it really has the property without observing its behavior in all possible settings. However, despite this inability to prove anything objectively true, humans have a natural tendency to believe in things. We evolved with certain innate beliefs about the world such as that most people are honest and will not hurt you unless provoked. These natural beliefs are not based on proof or evidence, but they can be very useful.

Looks like Jon doesnt have any new interesting topics. Can u talk about how u invest in lands? The value of the lands right now and how the prices can go up. I have requested about this 2 or 3 times.
Excuse me, Jon talked a lot about land. He said investing in land is to increase the idea of land resources such as seeds, clean water, nutrients from the soil, tubers that grow underground, trees... these values will become more valuable over time. many times when we are in crisis, it is much more precious than money. He nurtures and protects the land, not using it to sell for profit. The farmer who sells the land only goes to death, in my country Vietnam the farmer has fallen into this trap, poisoned the land and sold the land.
@@phucnguyen6483 i m not trying to sell it, i m trying to invest in lands and employ farmers. I invest in apartments in the city but people who invest in city dont have any idea about lands in remote areas. Thats what i would like him to explain. He once said he always try to buy so many lands.
I see what you mean, but unfortunately you may have misunderstood Jon, Jon is not an investor and doesn't have the money to buy a lot of land. He only compares between gold, cryptocurrencies, stocks and land. If there is enough money, buy land and enrich resources from it, protect it. And buy just enough, each house only needs a maximum of 4000m² because more will become a burden.
@@phucnguyen6483 well lets see how my investments go. The more i have success, the more i can help my employees. Just like any other investors out there. I hope i can make some diversify investments on lands and able to make some learning about those lands.
