Blips: 2:15, 8:44 I am going to be attending WOF tapings in NYC tomorrow afternoon, so any possible clips upcoming will have to wait until late Wed - Thur. Also, THREE STRIKES IN A BIG DAY.
When Drew was putting the strikes into the bag, the crowd clearly hated the 2nd one the most. That darn 2nd strike. It's mysterious. People hate the 2nd strike!
Season {41} The Price is Right Air Date Monday March 18th 2013. Elizabeth played "3 Strikes" for Jaguar XF won the automobile $53,416 dollars. Then wins her showcase off $312 dollars only $62 dollars away from the double showcase win!! She would have the highest daytime total $101,132 dollars in cash & prizes!!
I was on price is right in 1998 and won this game. Won a Buick. I felt the chips and could feel the x outline on chip. It’s a sticker. I never picked one X.
frank peluso that's so cool ,, did u end up selling it or what happen to the car years later ? Always curious what contestants do considering taxes and such.
I think they meant that she would choose a 3 for the first number. I thought the same thing, how could she think a jaguar would be a 30 thousand dollar vehicle. It was obvious the 3 would not be the first number
8:15 Joe Buck: Here's the 0-2 pitch. Elizabeth... swing into left... back at the wall, it is... 8:23 GONE! IT'S OVER! ELIZABETH WITH THE WALK-OFF HOME RUN TO WIN THE JAGUAR! 9:27 And she was $62 away from a DSW as well... but still a BIG birthday for Elizabeth! Here's what it would sound like if Bob Barker still did the Showcase results... 8:56 Bob: Alright, Sam, you've given me a bid of $27,000 on your showcase, and the actual retail price of your showcase is... 9:10 Bob: $22,774... 9:13 (Audience groans, MRRP) Bob: You are over. Now, Elizabeth, if you don't go over, you're a winner. Your bid is $22,500. Elizabeth, the actual retail price of your showcase is... 9:27 Bob: $22 thousand... 812! 9:30 (Cheers and applause, multiple dings, TPiR theme plays) Bob: You win with a difference of only $312! Great bid! Sam, thank you for being on our show. Congratulations, Elizabeth! You've won $78,388 in prizes, including a Jaguar and 2 great trips. And here come her friends to celebrate with her. 9:56 Bob: Bob Barker reminding you, help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered. Goodbye, everybody! 10:02 *VERY short credit roll* 10:10 Rich: This is Rich Fields speaking for _The Price is Right,_ a _Mark Goodson Television_ production.
There was a brief amount of time, awhile back.... When they got RID of TWO of the 3 Strikes (X's) & ONLY used the ONE Strike, up to the three total......thereby possibly increasing more chances of winning.... I think Bob was still hosting then too, I don't recall Drew being a part of that... I wish they'd go back to that, just using the 1 strike up to the 3 strikes.... OTHERWISE, 3 Strikes is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to win most of the time....
Near the end of 2015 there was a Mercedes Benz SLK300 Roadster worth $56,174 (won) And a Cadillac CTS(?) Luxury sedan worth $63,415 near the end of 2016 (also won)
Now let's hope somebody wins the Golden Road soon. Hasn't happened yet in the Drew Carey daytime era. (Even though it has been won on the MDS specials a few years ago).
Now you know that the 1 is not the third spot - so you should know that other number goes on that spot. And as long as you can stay away from the third strike, you're gonna win a $53,000 car.
yes the first notable to do this was a contestant with a dorothy hamill haircut back in 1981...sounded almost identical to elizabeth here when she won the showcase showdown and nearly tore bob's arm's off...
I think there's an October 2016 playing of 3 Strikes that took 16 PULLS before the player won. 16 PULLS! And it was the most expensive car ever won on that game, a $63,415 Cadillac. BTW, that was the last win we had on the original set, and the last win we had for 4 years, until it was finally won with the new set in January of 2021.
Nowadays, you have to be within $250. Back then it used to be less than $100. I say less than $100 since we had a person miss by exactly $100 on their showcase when that rule was in play, but they didn't win both showcases.
am i the only one that sees the pattern of drew having the audience being filled with 70% 18 female women then gets sexually excited when they com e on down
This game is actually rigged to be terrible odds by the end of it... Even if you don't get the strikes on the first pulls, you're bound to have a 75% chance of striking out by the end of it, then 66% and then it's a 50-50 of winning or losing. I mean, those are still good odds to win a Jaguar, but compared to other games on TPIR, this one is kinda harsh.
I would have died a happy man if she'd gone over when she won and lifted the presenter model up on top of the car hood and started munching that muffin out of pure excitement.
I like to see a 6 digit car. like 214,850 a very expensive car.. like extend the game a little like have prizes... 2 prizes will represents numbers they can win... 2 more will represent free strikes.
Actually there have been three now: the one you mentioned, which was a Ferrari, an Audi R8 worth $146,923 from Dream Car Week of the same calendar year, and most recently, a $159,081 (yes, there were really two 1s) BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition during Dream Car Week Spring 2017
Drew's excitement was great.
Drew: "We can do this all day long folks, we have til the noon news"
Me: "except on the West Coast". . . LMAO
That was certainly a very nice way to celebrate her birthday. These were the best birthdays presents for her.
8:23 - BAM! You got the $53,000 car, Elizabeth. It is indeed a Happy Birthday for her.
Congratulations Elizabeth! You won $78,388
Elizabeth is a fine little lady, despite all her screams! 😂😍
Happy birthday Elizabeth. It made my day watching this even though its 2019 but damn its so additive to watch...
How did you know it was her birthday?
@@ChampionSushima I see that now
I remember my sister and I was in the audience when she won that car, it was awesome.
I remember I was sitting at home, unaware she won the car when she won the car. It was awesome.
When Drew was putting the strikes into the bag, the crowd clearly hated the 2nd one the most. That darn 2nd strike. It's mysterious. People hate the 2nd strike!
One of my favorite TPIR videos, she jumps into his arms! Wow. That always makes me smile, yeah, she's a real cutie.
Actually the 2nd strike has always been my favorite.
okay I have major issues......I get super excited to see people win....
That's no issue. If you get super excited to see them lose, that's an issue
Same, they usually bring tears of joy in my eyes.
Me too! I love it
There's earnest joy in a room of simultaneous happiness.
I love when people win!! Drew is a fantastic host, and spreads all the more joy!

You did a great job on playing this game
Cute. Just adorable.
I was starting to worry that there would be a double overbid.
5:56 - Nope, back you go! Back you go!
Awesome win! Congratulations, Beth!
@Matthew Gudino Beth is short for Elizabeth.
4:10.... a $30,000 Jaguar?!? Come on!!

I think they meant that she would choose a 3 for the first number. I thought the same thing, how could she think a jaguar would be a 30 thousand dollar vehicle. It was obvious the 3 would not be the first number
The double showcase win should really be within $500 at this point. I mean, we're about 50 years since the show started.
Yeah good point
@@bettyjohnson1254 here's my question what if both contestants are within 100... do they both win both showcase prizes?

Elizabeth is pretty. I like her glasses. She has plastic frame ones. They look good on her.
How did you make something so friendly sounds so creepy
Chicks with plastic glasses are hot.
When did they add the two strikes back? It was sometime when Bob was host that they changed it to one strike in the bag.
$53,416?! Amazing!
Woooo! (She's so pretty!!)
Almost got a Double Showcase.
Extreme winner!
Wait till she has to pay the taxes on all that
8:23 Way to go Elizabeth
She won more than what family feud offers in a month kicking their candy A$$es by herself!
Odds are against you on this game
When DREW say booo its make laugh hhhhhhh
Man she's gorgeous 😍
The kinda sorta funny thing is that the "winning disc" was never pulled until the end.
It always seems to be like that, though, on 3 Strikes...
The most expensive thing I've ever won was a buck knife
I remember a "3 Strikes" playing that had a car worth over $56,000.
Near the end of 2015 there was a Mercedes Benz SLK300 Roadster worth $56,174 (won)
And a Cadillac CTS(?) Luxury sedan worth $63,415 near the end of 2016 (also won)
Im thinking you can get a loan with the car as collateral, unless your really a mess.
@GameShowFan9001 I just watched that episode. The guy won a white Mercedes
I'm going to tonight's taping.
Up for bid...hearing protection for everyone in the studio.
Lucky you..I LIVE in NY and couldn't get tix...have a good time for me!

No, she only won one car.
Elizabeth with her glasses is super cute.
Now let's hope somebody wins the Golden Road soon. Hasn't happened yet in the Drew Carey daytime era. (Even though it has been won on the MDS specials a few years ago).
Well, Giselle became the first winner back in 2014, and we've had 4 other winners since then.
She should increase her price in Final Showcase by $62
Yeah... what could've been. Maybe 6-figures had she got that DSW.
@@JonesDylan874 Yeah, but this will be her nightmare since she had to paid lot of tax to get all rewards she win on that day

Elizabeth is a nice 100 % All Natural cutie.
I wonder what's harder to get in NYC: Wheel tickets or Yankee/Red Sox tickets.
Yankees red Sox tickets they're too expensive plus it's always sold out when you actually want to go

Yes, but the proper question is "Is it the proper Jaaaaag?"
I mean this in a good way. But I think Elizabeth looks like the human form of Roxanne from A Goofy Movie lol!
She's so freaking cute!

Agreed.
That’s s hard game.
lol those showcases must have been really lame...even a double showcase wouldn't have been close to the retail on that car....
Hopefully she still uses the Jaguar.& beware of USGovt with taxman on your winnings.
8:23 - oh yeah!
The minute she pulled out the number she really shrieked! Happy birthday, indeed!
Didnt it used to be within $500 for double showcases?
Jeff Swafford it used to be $100. They made it $250 several years ago.
The "$500 to win both (+ $1 million)" was only in Drew's MDS days.
@@mactac25 Actually, it was LESS THAN $100 away.
Did this segment set a record for longest game ever on TPIR? If not, WHAT DID?!?!
I think there's an October 2016 playing of 3 Strikes that took 16 PULLS before the player won. 16 PULLS! And it was the most expensive car ever won on that game, a $63,415 Cadillac. She squealed when she drew the last number out of the bag and dropped to the floor.
9:27 SO CLOSE to a DSW!
Why did they get rid of "plus"? This game is supposed to be "Three Strikes Plus"?
That was back when you rarely had cars that were 5 digits. Nowadays cars start at 5 digits, so that's why they got rid of it.
You don't show what they win in the showcase
Actually, the most expensive car they've given away in Three Strikes, as far as I know, was an Audi A5 worth $53,627.
Actually now it's a Cadillac CTS(?) Luxury sedan
$63,415
