    Thanks for the video, AJ. I am also trying to become more efficient and productive with my time but still struggling with it a lot. I would really appreciate it if you could please upload a short video on how exactly you have figured about the functioning of your brain( what works and what doesn't for you) and related techniques to it as I believe, it can potentially help many people out there to learn, absorb and retain maximum amount of possible information while studying for the program and going forward in life too. Cheers.

    I passed nov 23 in my first attempt, i studied with mark meldrum and loved his videos on “how to study” but your tactics AJ defined my entire journey. I targeted 600 hrs and manage 550 hrs in 4 months. Just did my best to measure active work hours. Did the formulas the last few days. Spammed as many mocks as possible (7). 5 of them on the old 6hr format untimed like practice questions and 2 timed cfa mocks. Passed comfortably Thank God. Now im burning oil for level 2

      @straighttalks-ajsrmek323 thanks man! I enjoy your insightful videos, but I have to say you seemed like the most dedicated CFA candidate I've ever seen or met. I remember it a video you mentioned that you didn't even waste 30 minutes in a study session without making it up. I couldn't study that way. In a 3 hour session I spent maybe 30 or 40 min just spinning my wheels. I've also taken days off. I think over 15 days throughout my level 1 journey. I'm saying this to mention that it's quite difficult to be as on point as you have been. But one can still pass

  • @deaz629
    @deaz629 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    level is not formula memorisation. They twist questions around that you need to know where each component of the formula comes from. This what I remember fresh from my Nov 23 exam. Just remembering formulas ain't going to help, and that's why a lot probably fail because they listen to video and think memorising 50 formulas will help.
    Maybe the exam questions also changed over the years..... who knows.

    Straight Talks, you come across as a very sincere guy. I'm aware of the fact that so called bulge bracket firms on Wall Street are very picky and only hire from top Universities like Harvard or Stanford. Given that the CFA is basically (and luckily so!) basically available to everyone who's willing to pay for it, I wonder if that may not mean a flood of CFAs will enter the jobmarket. Finance as a topic is not so difficult - do you think a yearly income of 80k US$ is doable without a university degree & aka only as CFA charterholder ?

    • @NicholasSunderland
      @NicholasSunderland 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would be surprised if the market ever saw a significantly larger amount of CFA charterholders given that it's been around for a long time and (from what ST mentioned in the video) only around 12% of people complete the program. The exams would probably need to become much easier.

    • @straighttalks-ajsrmek323
      @straighttalks-ajsrmek323  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
