- A day out to show some of the great hiking trails in the You Yangs Regional Park, one of my local spots where I train for longer hiking trips and also just a great place to do a variety of really fun day hikes.
Beautiful place 😍
Thanks for watching Nick & Rachel! Enjoying your channel too. 👍
Oh so cool. I’ve always looked at these and thought the would be beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Hey Kate! Yeah, it's a great park to have pretty much in my backyard. Definitely worth visiting if you're ever in the area.
Hope your seafaring adventures are going well.
@@FreedomOnFoot amazing backyard. thanks so much I’m excited to see cocus islands in a few days time. Pretty amazing world we live on.
@@KateGrarock, it sure is!
Love it up there
I feel very fortunate to have the You Yangs just a shortish drive from home.
Training grounds don't get much better 👌
Yes, pretty fortunate to have this in my backyard.
The number of times I drove past the turn off to the You Yangs on my way to Melbourne from Pirron Yallock when I lived there! Why did I never take the turn off??? What a lovely spot, amazing views too... gotta love those granite landscapes of the VVP 💙
Well let me know if you're ever in the area and would be great to head out to the You Yangs together. 🙂
@@FreedomOnFoot for sure!
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, one of the great things about this park. You can take your dog for a walk there! No bins there though so you need to carry out any poo bags with you.
I love the you yangs, hopefully Chairman Dan will let us out of lockdown soon and I can get back there. Last time I was at Flinders Peak, earlier this year, I gave right of way to a very large eastern brown which crossed the path ahead of me
Yeah, it's a great spot. Wow, what a snake sighting! I actually haven't come across any yet when I've been down there but always have my eyes peeled.
