He is the Boss who is never scared by his enemy. Although they almost killed him. They can’t stop him. He is also a brave man to tell the truth about Balfour’s corruption. No other characters would do that.

Lucas asks Clayton "Am I?" still a target. This indicates Lucas himself is still unclear about who shot him and why. I think more happened between them off camera, out of scene. That's how this show runner advances the plot. If Lucas feels he is still a target or if his presence brings danger to Hope Valley in the remaining episodes, this might be what would get him to leave--to protect those he cares most about. And, McNally did an excellent job in this scene--complete command. His acting has truly grown.

The scene with Lucas in the jail was the most magnificent moment in WCTH history. Chris McNally, was absolutely brilliant with his performance as Governor Bouchard. @@priscooper7166I don’t know. I want Lucas to succeed and build the resort, but the way they seemed to dragged on about the bid made me wonder if they are ever going to. Remember the foundry storyline back in season 9? They talked and talked about the foundry being built, and it never happens. It might be like that with the resort.

I think Lucas will find a solution due to Montague is threatening another bidders for not submitting their offers. The bidders are only Montague and Jeanette. I assume Jeanette is working with Montague.

I’ll have to rewatch that scene again. I do believe that we will see Jeanette again before season 11 wraps up. I do hope that she doesn’t become Lucas’ love interest. It would be nice to see a woman on the show be one of the bad guys.

He pushed LB to accept Montague’s bid because he wanted to help LB secure his position as a governor. Edwin is LB’s campaign manager. If Edwin is behind the shooting, it will be too obvious. It's just my opinion though. I could be wrong.
