im a west allis wisconsin native just like chellsie is and lemme tell ya, our little city is ECSTATIC that she is trying make a comeback. she most definitely has the support of her hometown, im so excited as well
Honestly if she makes it to tokyo, her life should be turned into a movie. She is a legend, i mean we always see the siwtch from ncaa to elite, but seeing a gymnast that became an elite in the 10.0 scoring system in 2003, and go through all that she went through, and even became a judge, then she decided to make a comeback, and she is doing amazing
I would definitely watch a movie about Chellsie Memmel. We hear about gymnasts overcoming injury and what not but Chellsie is just at a whole other level. Her entire gymnastics career was plagued by untimely injuries, and she still hasn't given up.
there are people at the olympics that throw some pretty tough skills in their routines. But Chellsie just throws all of them into one routine and pulls it off with such style :D
I hope she’ll go the World Cup route and qualify on her own merit. Especially with a 4-person team, I wouldn’t want to touch the politics of USAG with a 20-foot pole. I’m living for this comeback and would love to see her at trials!
Nadia Comaneci is not the same person as Nastia Liukin. But yes, Chellsie is unbelievably tough! She's been on the world gymnastics scene for nearly 10 years.
I just want to say her father looks exactly the same in this video as he does in her current training and competition videos. I’ve been following this comeback for the last few months and I’m beyond impressed. Whose next from that same Olympic team? Nastia, Shawn Johnson?? Lol
I hate how they comment that she's "Nadia-tough." Why can't she just be Chellsie tough?! She's looking much stronger than Liukin these days, anyway, and I very much admire that Chellsie is doing all of this without pomp and circumstance.
Amazing tumbling! That twisting pike was insane. Her splits are a little short and make for easy deductions. Fantastic gymnast tho. I see her Instagram posts and the fact that she can still do all of these skills in her 30s is just wow👌🏼
Everyone who’s really a fan of @ChellsieMemmel , go an follow her channel and show support by subscribing to her channel where she shows us her potential comeback and opens up and allows us to experience a little part of her “adult gymnastics journey” . She’s so awesome! She has even replied to my comments I’ve left showing her support. I’m sure she would love to see all this support y’all are showing her on here!! th-cam.com/users/ChellsieMemmel23
She throws such amazing skills, just wish she would have extended her legs more on the back handspring and layout stepout. They aren't Kerri Strugg level ugly, but pretty bad.
Her skills on beam were crazy good but she lacked fluidity and artistry and in today’s code her score would’ve been murdered for it. But I still love seen unique acro combos and crazy hard skills executed so beautifully 😍. She was special
Julianna Wilson But, her connections are so good. Slow connections is where most people get hammered. She’s so sure & confident in every skill. I think she would score well.
Yeah - I get sick to death of this whole ‘Simone Biles’ is the best gymnast there has ever been - the best of all the American gymnasts. No she isn’t! She may have a lot of medals and trophies to her name, but she is not ‘better’ than any of the others! I frankly don’t know what the big deal is?!!
Clare Bell Huh? Simone has dominated every year she’s competed. Her accomplishments are unprecedented in this sport...and she’s playing it safe to avoid injury lol
@@clarebell5926 sounds like you're hating to me. Her medals and trophies without a shadow of doubt PROVE she is the G.O.A.T. Speaking of which, she's been labled the GREATEST of all time not best of all time. There is a difference. And lets talk about the fact that her difficulty alone sets her above everyone else. And not just difficulty but execution of those difficulty moves. Simone Biles also has invented four moves of high difficulty on beam, vault and floor and another potentially on vault and one for bars. She continues to raise the bar of difficulty for 2021 and people are trying to catch up to HER. And you have the nerve to say "I don't know what the big deal is." Oh please....
Cant believe it was only scores at 6.2. Well problem with her is shes great on US soil events. But when she competes like worlds or olympics she fails to deliver in the finals.
This is absolutely false. In 2003, she helped the team get gold by hitting all 4 routines. She also won herself an individual gold on the Uneven Bars. In 2005, she became a World All-Around Champion and earned two silver medals on Balance Beam and Uneven Bars. In 2006, she helped the team get silver. She fell on Uneven Bars in the Team Finals but contributed high scores across the other 3 events. She also qualified first in the all-around but withdrew due to injury. In 2008, she helped the team get silver by hitting her Uneven Bars routine in the Team Finals. She didn't make the AA finals because she broke her foot. She didn't qualify to the Uneven Bars final because she fell in qualifications.
The fact that she can still do 90% of this routine only a few months into training again is INSANE
Her muscle memory is insane
The most underrated American gymnast ever.
Because she didn't get to shine at thre Olympics where people notice her
I feel the same... that’s so sad because she’s amazing gymnast!
Along with Aly
VANESSA 24
@@shrutirathaur5546 i don’t think aly is underrated nor overrated
I can’t wait to watch her comeback it’ll be iconic
She can do it I'm sure :) If you see those training video's. She's still as good as she was here.

This is probably the hardest beam routine ever put together and performed. The acrobatic series and combinations are just ridiculous!
there are people at the olympics that throw some pretty tough skills in their routines. But Chellsie just throws all of them into one routine and pulls it off with such style :D
She's an uncredited unbelievable athlete
One of my favourite routines and fave gymnasts ever.
Chellsie is making a comeback and I hope she at least makes a case for herself to be an alternate, or even the 5th team spot that would be incredible.
Yes, just amazing given she is 31 years old. What happened to her chances in 2012?
@@justlina2769 She petitioned to the Olympic Trials in 2012 and was denied! :(
@@justlina2769 She only competed beam at Classics but after counting two falls she didn't score high enough to qualify for Nationals that year.
Next olympics the team is only 4 I believe.

That was incredible every time I watch her she so amazing! She's definitely one of my favorite gymnasts of all time!!
That first combination was out. of. this. world.
I love her entire beam routine!
Nadia Comaneci is not the same person as Nastia Liukin. But yes, Chellsie is unbelievably tough! She's been on the world gymnastics scene for nearly 10 years.
And Nadia didn’t compete skills even half as difficult as Chellsie
Awesome gymnast, and im loving her come back, its like she never stepped out of the gym. True champion. :)

Her beam work is just perfection.
She is incredible, so inspiring to see her still performing these skills.
Though she has had many great ones, this is her BEST ROUTINE EVER! I am so pleased to know that she is still on the beam killing it in 2021!
Queen!
What! Her first combination
Front aerial into a Popa is beautiful!
She definitely could’ve gone head to head with Deng Linlin and Sui Lu at the 2012 Olympics BB EF 😭🙏 Can’t wait time see her in Tokyo
She is awesome
WOW!!! underscored though...

Nadia tough as in Nadia Comaneci. Not Nastia Liukin 😂
did she win beam in this comp?
Chell, yeah!

What a difficult routine! I dare other Olympians to try it. She's really good!

In today's score she would just work on it...different time different rules.
Artistry is seriously lacking in the last 5 years

Her "split" at 0:46 was awful
don't know why...
