This was beautiful. I love their more overt moments, but also the subtlety in their looks, their smiles. You could argue that Kathryn wasn't in love with him (though I don't think there are strong arguments for it), but Chakotay was definitely a goner for her, and almost from the start. I don't know if they'd have handled their romance well if they wrote it in, so maybe it's a blessing in disguise that they didn't. But my fantasy Voyager series includes a sweet tension between them all throughout, and in Workforce they'd have had Chakotay play the role of Jaffen, and then returning to their previous roles when they got their memory back (though obviously they'd be shaken and wondering what ifs and longing) to finishing the series with them just holding hands on the bridge as they're heading to Earth. That would have been just Perfect. Maybe Prodigy (whenever it's picked up by another network, hopefully soon, because I really enjoyed the series), will give us some endgame J/C, even just hints would be pretty amazing, but something more blatant would be insane. After so many years, to have them canon, I assume it'd send the J/C fandom into a frenzy lol. I also am thinking that if they were a canon couple all this while, there wouldn't be as much fanfiction around, I'm 100% sure. People were frustrated by the tease and so went to rewrite to their liking. So I'm thankful for how that turned out, I guess, all the fanfiction to read, and a lot of it is really intriguing and a joy to read. Anyways, I rambled on your comment section, I love this video lots! Well done! You did great :)
They had the sweetest chemistry ever. While ei completely understand why they never got together, making Seven and Chakotay a thing will never not be weird to me. Luckily the new Voyager books did the proper course correction
