The way the knight scolds the king was just so hilarious. The tone, the way he kind of switched to an informal tone in Japanese instead of using the formal/polite tone when he said "Then do it! You call yourself a king?"
Is like the knight is already used to this acts coming from the king
Think if the king attacked Yuuya, restrained His Majesty to the ground, and possibly knock him unconscious, Yuuya would be let off the hook with no severe punishment due to how unstable and overprotective the king is?

@@Solbankai66Especially since even the king's own knights tell him that he should behave more maturely and keep his act together. So, really, I don't think anyone would blame Yuuya if he defended himself by grabbing the king by the arm and throwing him to the ground. I think he kind of deserves it.

This was honestly one of the most wholesome anime I've watched in a long time. A lot of the clueless and overpowered tropes but it was still fun and even the overprotective dad bit wasn't overplayed.

Some are genuinely clever, but what sells them are the characters. Case in point: Konosuba’s world building is rubbish, and it’s pacing makes no darn sense. However it’s characters are funny, full of life, and fabulously flawed.
That knight is more preoccupied in preventing the king from going through with his stupid ideas.

Its weird that is anime is a paradox of being painfully boring and hilariously entertaining. It takes all of my willpower NOT to skip the scenes where Yuuya is at school/ the real world in case i miss anything due to it being boring

Ngl, I enjoyed the real world scenes more than a lot of otherworld scenes. Seeing his isekai powers in like normal life was funnier. Unfortunately a severe lack of dog and pig.
I like it because it breaks the norms of a regular isekai style like what's common these days. He has to balance his crazy fantasy and magical lifestyle, with his normal and mundane school life. Figuring out how to do his best in both worlds without favoring 1 too far over the other.

Ahh, another anime im now interested in but will never get to see since Crunchyroll has put absolutely everything behind the pay wall.
I really want to like this show. It has a lot of ideas that I genuinely think could make a great show.
But they're just doing too much too fast. This episode did give us more development for the first 2 girls finally. But the season is almost over already! And MC still hasn't DONE anything at all with his powers. He has no goal or rivals or obstacles to overcome.
It's like watching a super hero movie with no villain. Or a romcom without any comedy.
Even the girl in this episode barely bats an eyelash to THE EXISTENCE OF MAGIC and PORTALS TO ANOTHER WORLD.
Her reaction was about the same as if he had told her the weather forecast!
To be fair, the weather can be interesting sometimes.

Think of the tpo, Yuuya. I guess he didn’t hear about a marriage proposal, but in what world would it be okay to give a futon to a girl while being dense. Surely the food feeding should have given some hint of romantic feelings unless they are a maid doing house service for the guest.
Pure quality isnt always important. Ignore reviews and watch for yourself is my philosophy
I refuse to acknowledge that an MC can be this dense - which is why I dropped the anime as it suggests so many things that break any and all ways a person would react.
Example: A teacher being turned on by this high schooler to the point of suggesting she would wait for him to mature.
If that been a male teacher to a female MC, you know how many people would be up in arms?
And this:
The MC knows what an ideal gift is for a king. He’s been making items and making money for the real world for sometime now. He knows what objects are worth plus the currency exchange between the two worlds and the ingame console he has.

I know this scene is played for comedy yet these scenes have a double edged sword - it makes the MC appear dumb…despite the scene trying to paint the king as outrageous and imperious.

The MC is aware he is in a kings court and he could’ve brought out any number of items - even the lowest valued - and it would be considered priceless to the king and court.
