I recently got one of these and used it for the first time this morning. You taught me something about it I didn't notice. The hydraulic resistance changer. I LOVE. Knowing it has one of those.
I appreciate the review. I'm a big guy trying to get back into things. I know the weight limit says 220, and I weight 285, but I think this or the 350 option should be pretty solid for me. I'm going to try this one first!
Hey man sorry for the slow reply. I meant to hit you back a few days ago. It feels like it could probably handle the weight. The prices are right at the moment to take a shot at the cheaper one. I hope it works out man.
Hey Sunny Health & Fitness, make this machine longer, you may get a sale from me. I wish I can try it out first to make sure the current size is right for me, even with that in mind like Vern said, a hundred bucks is great.
Hey big Vern, gym's lookin great! Hey man maybe you can replace the foam with regular handlebar grips from a bicycle or motorcycle depending on the diameter?
Hey man! We definitely still use it in the garage and it's as intense as ever but I for myself I mostly use my assault bike. It's a high value piece of gear for the price though for real.
I'm sorry for the delay I needed to put one of my taller clients on the bike and I think you'd be fine on one of these because you can put the handle bar at it's highest position but I can't really say for sure because my client is only 6'1".
Vern, is there another budget rower you would recommend? I’m 6’2” and I don’t see this rower providing the range of motion like the other rowers that has a longer foot print and rowing handlebars that are chain or strapped attached.
The only other one I've tried is the magnetic rower. It's bigger and it might work for you. It's a little more expensive though. Here's a review I did on it... Thanks for reaching out! th-cam.com/video/h6AAb3xhyjs/w-d-xo.html
I'm 5'9" too. I think the maximum weight capacity is 225 but don't quote me on that. You could definitely use it man. But I think I mentioned in the review that these things don't allow you to go crazy like a compact 2 or anything but it's pretty good for the price.
@@UsawaFitness thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately, I don't have the budget for anything more than £200 (and even then, I'm not looking to spend that much). this is £90. I also don't have the space for a 'proper' rowing machine, so this is really my only option lol! The compact 2 is very nice - i've used it at the gym years ago and also during high school, but it's way way out of my budget (including used) and again it's simply too big. I'm more just trying to drop some weight (aim is to get to 90kg at least). I was 117kg at the end of February this year and with dieting (no exercise), i'm now comfortably at 102kg. I just want to use this for 30 minutes a day along with my stationary bike, but my big concern was if I would be too tall for this. Thanks for the reply :)
@@UsawaFitness Awesome, glad to hear that! It’s looking great! For video purposes, I would recommend brighter lights. Just giving some feedback since you asked for it. But definitely not complaining, and not a huge negative. Looking awesome!
Ugh. I'm feeling you on the lightning man. I've gotta fix it ASAP but I don't think I can get anything until the new year. It's definitely dark. I appreciate that honest feedback because I'm seeing the same thing. 🤦🏾
Can you use this machine for interval training and get your heart rate above 150 and out of breath? How comfortable is the seat if you are over 200lbs?
You can use it for interval training and definitely get your heart rate way up. I do this by adjusting the tension but it's not going to give you that full rowing machine row that you get in the gym because the pull is much shorter.
@@UsawaFitness I can't decide between this one and the Row N Ride. How would you compare the seats and handles comfort for longer cardio sessions on each machine?
@@UsawaFitness Is this rower easier or harder than the Row n Ride? I wish it were a foot longer for a more full range of motion like a full rower. I would buy an Echo or Assault bike in a second were they not so crazy loud for thin apartment walls :-(
Hey Vern you should try a Handy Gym. It's expensive, but worth it. You can do almost any exercise with it. It's like having a cable machine in a tiny portable package. It's worth it alone for doing cable flyes. That shit aint no joke. Check out Joey Bee on youtube.
I think I have something similar that I need to review. I've been using it but I fit what it's called. I'm going to tell you what it's called when I go back in the house.
@jaleesa00 Ok ok. I was just trying to get an insider opinion. I'm going to reach out to them and see it they'll send me one. If they do maybe I can send it to you after I review it.
I just picked up one of these rowing machines at a local thrift store for $7. Can't wait to use it
$7! Congrats you just got a steal of a lifetime! It's amazing workout tool!
wow what a find. im looking to buy one on amazon and its about $120

Breaking a sweat without breaking the bank… great find, Vern!

about to buy one for 20$ (maybe cheaper) looking forwards to it! amazing video keep up the good work

@UsawaFitness all good, no worries.
Also, can confirm, I get a good pump at 5'6" 285 lbs with no noticeable issues. Totally worth it 👍
@KazYual Thanks for the feedback. I'll use that in an update.
You are amazing my sir
Wow! Thank you!
Can you also use this on carpet and would you suggest me putting an exercise mat under it
You can use it on carpet but if you're super aggressive it's going to move around a little no matter if it's carpet or an exercise mat.
Hey Sunny Health & Fitness, make this machine longer, you may get a sale from me. I wish I can try it out first to make sure the current size is right for me, even with that in mind like Vern said, a hundred bucks is great.

I am sweating just watching this!
It's a burner man!
What about the hydraulic fluid heating up and diminishing the time you spend on it? What about that fluid breaking down over time? Is that possible?
Yes Sunny Health & Fitness says it is but I haven't seen that out of my unit yet.
I was thinking on getting me the rower 🤔
It's a nice budget friendly option. You can get em under a hundo alot of times.
What's up man is this good workout equipment I'm thinking about buying it do you still have it and do you still use it

How do I measure how much calories I burned on this machine. Based on what resistance I have it on
Unfortunately the only way to truly measure your calories burned on equipment like this is to wear a heart rate monitor.
Would this work for a 6'3" adult?
