Brevort is a beautiful lake to camp at, especially if you have small kids. We camped there 30 years ago, and loved it. We had site 1, my brother in law and his family had site 2. Thank you for bringing back good memories.
I am a former full time RVer. I started watching your channel because I am thinking of buying a pickup camper and getting back into it. I have enjoyed going back and watching all of your adventures, however, I must say I really enjoyed your cabin adventures also. I really liked watching the tree crew. It reminds me of me when I was doing the clearing of the woods I lived in . Keep up the great videos!
Michigan's Upper peninsula has some of the greatest scenery on earth! Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Porcupine Mountains, hundreds of miles of lakeshore, Brockway Mountain Drive, forests...
It’s so good seeing you both back on the road. I trust you got ample rest and relaxation. Thanks for returning in a relaxed state of mind. Looking forward to to seeing more of you both. ❤❤❤❤
Good to see you back on the road. Love the Brevort area. We camped there a few years ago and loved it. The campgrounds are filled in Michigan for sure!
Interesting…we were in St Ignace on the 2nd and third - actually spent the day on Mackinac Island on the 3rd. Spent 3 nights before that on the Keweenaw Peninsula (Maclain State Park on Lake Superior). We like the UP a lot, especially the Apostle Islands above Bayfield, Wi. The whole coastline including the pictured rocks area and further east Tequamenan falls is interesting with a visit to whitefish Point and the Ship wreck Museum as well.
I was in that area last week as well. Beautiful. As a Wisconsinite I’ve been kinda sleeping on Michigan. I definitely need to spend a lot more time there.
A round trip around Lake Superior sounds like a good idea. It’s great to see Barkley enjoy life!! You guy’s are AWESOME dog parents!! Thanks for another GREAT VIDEO!!
I have just watched my first of yours and on to my second and am really enjoying it. You both seem like such wonderful people and very natural in front of the camera. I'm subscribed!
Have you camped up in Bayfield? There is a lovely, rustic campground just north of town towards Red Cliff called Dalrymple Campground. It is city run and near the lake. There is a lower part of the campground that is right on Lake Superior and you can watch all the sailboats, cruise ships, kayaks and the ferry to Madeline. It is absolutely stunning and you will fall asleep to the waves crashing below. They have electric and it’s all first come. But it often has open spots. $30/night.
US2 is one of our favorite U.P. routes. That spot in Brevort looked great, can’t believe how calm the water was! You MUST do The Keweenaw Peninsula, you’ll store it in your memory.
So good to see you guys! When I saw that you had posted, I got so excited. And nothing beats a camping trip. It looked like Barkley was happy to be back camping too! See ya next week.
The U.P is so beautiful in fall. If you get a chance, visit Munising. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn since it over looks the lake. The view is stunning.
Yay! Welcome back! Well, it’s not like you’ve been gone or anything, welcome back to camping though. I agree…circle tour in the fall around the lake…make it so lol Anyways, as always, stay safe out there…..
Thanks, Mike! Sure feels great to be back in the camper. And I think it would be a great trip and plenty of beautiful scenery to share! Have a great week!
We stayed in Saxon Harbor last summer. Great campground on Lake Superior. We were a big group. Got to visit many of the sites around "Lady Superior ". Don't pass up searching for Yupper Rocks!
Wow, what a beautiful camping spot at the UP. My wife and I have visited Michigan a number of times but have never been that far north. Great to have you both back on the road :)
Do you guys stay at KOA’s? Usually the best bathrooms when it comes to campgrounds. There’s 2 KOA’s, one on each side of the Mackinac Bridge. Maybe a bit pricey. Just stayed at the one south of the bridge. Very well ran campground.
Born & raised in MI but the lakes are SO cold! I moved to AL 28 yrs ago because I'm over the snow and winters. Only thing I miss is the black dirt- I hate this red clay in AL.
Nice update! Are you interested in reviewing our 6-in-1 drinking water tester? It can test bacteria, virus, microplastic, heavy metal, and weed kiiler., etc! We're sure that you'll love it.
I am happy to see you back in the camper. I also live in my truck camper.y work is otr semi driver. One place I would like to go that I have only been in the semi is black river falls Wisconsin. It seems to have a lot of activities there to do. Also close by there is Wisconsin dells, they have indoor water parks. Thank you for all you do I appreciate you guys.
What a beautiful spot to camp ❤. MI. Is stunning 😍 We loved it there. Went to so many beautiful waterfalls there and then to Pictured Rocks 😍. I'll never forget it! Looking forward to seeing where you head next😊❤
It's kind of hard to narrow down recommendations, so many options. There are the obvious ones that everyone should see at least once like the pictured rocks or Tahquamenon Falls. There are lesser known but still popular ones like the Big Springs and even some untouched old growth giant timber in the Keweenaw peninsula. I kind of like the Lesser known and less crowded destinations. Lake Superior State Forest Campground, between Grand Marais and Newberry, is a nice little quiet Campground right on Lake Superior.
That trip you mentioned seems like a great idea especially in the fall. How does it feel being on the road now knowing you have a place called home to return to? I used to just jump into pool right away, no putting toes in to see if it’s cold. Is this a state campground? $24.00 a night is a bargain today. Lunch looked good. Thanks for taking us along.
Doing cold plunge’s are good for you. If you stay in for 5 minutes or so, your body burns calories and fat to try and stay warm. Y’all don’t look like you need to lose weight by any stretch of memory, but any chubby viewers out there like me, it can be worth it.
@Living Large Camping, I’m trying to plan a trip to Michigan and hope you’ll feel comfortable sharing the name of this campground. I’m not sure which campgrounds are best and would appreciate suggestions from you and other viewers who are familiar with great locations in Michigan. Tips regarding best time of year would also be appreciated.
Sure thing! This was Brevoort campground, right off of US2 near St, Ignace. I believe some of the sites are reservable online. As far as best time of year, the summer is the best weather but also the most crowds. If you're here in May or early June the flies and mosquitos can be horrible. Haven't experienced a fall up here yet!

As much as I am joy camping, I have so so so much enjoyed your cabin in the woods. Such a beautiful place and so relaxing.
We'll still be filming there as well, just trying to keep a good balance of videos!
A circle tour of Lake Superior in the Fall would be great.
It is :)
Clean truck, clean camper, clean-clear -relaxing minds. Good to see you out camping again.
That's for sure!
Brevort is a beautiful lake to camp at, especially if you have small kids. We camped there 30 years ago, and loved it. We had site 1, my brother in law and his family had site 2.
Thank you for bringing back good memories.
How cool! It was a wonderful campground, we'll definitely be back!
the stars are what I remember most about the UP of Michigan... great place to view the night time sky.
Couldn't agree more!
On your trip around Lake Superior, take the ferry to the Apostle Islands in Wisconsin. Gorgeous scenery!
Great idea!
Great to see you back in the camper! I envy your cool summer temps.
It sure feels nice!

I’m amazed at how much you two have accomplished, well done and congratulations. BTW, I loved your new house episodes.
Thank you for the support!!
I would love to see your loop around Lake Superior! My husband and I have said we want to camp Michigan after seeing your beautiful videos
Glad we can show off this beautiful state!
Memories! UP in October 4 kids with their mom and dad and the pickup camper. So long ago.
In Wisconsin, you will want to swing in for a quick hike at Amnican State Park. You can always spend the night at Copper Falls.
Good to see you back on the road. Love the Brevort area. We camped there a few years ago and loved it. The campgrounds are filled in Michigan for sure!
Such a great area!

The long loop trip? Heck yeah! That fish looked delicious.
We're all about it! And it was a great lunch spot

Finally back to camping!
Yes!
Two of my favorite peeps! And....a bathroom review to boot 👢! What an awesome Wednesday 👌 👏 👍
We did it for you, Christine!
Love your camper videos and your home too!
Thank you!!
Michigan is the state with the most lighthouses. One of the most beautiful views is at Lake of the Clouds Start Park. The UP is famous for Pasties.
We'll have to check that park out!
That would be cool to see
We think so too!
You should try Hartwick pines stare park in Grayling Mi
Porcupine Mountains and Ontonagon County in the UP. Lake of the Clouds and over 100 waterfalls. Copper Harbor is awesome too.
All spots on our list for the superior trip!
We live it large here in the mitten. Love my state
Barkley ain’t scared of the water 😂😎
No he isn't!
I love Michigan. Wilderness state park. Where is the dog while you eat?
A great state park! And he stays in the camper, its only 70 degrees outside this day
I am happy to see you back in the camper. I also live in my truck camper.y work is otr semi driver. One place I would like to go that I have only been in the semi is black river falls Wisconsin. Thanks for watching! And we'll have to add black rivers falls on our list!
Barkley reminds us of two dogs we used to have.....could have been his twins 😊 Ours were corgi/pom crosses.
We're not 100% sure what Barkley is but have seen a few dogs that look a lot like him!
Great content as always:)
Thank you!
What a beautiful spot to camp ❤. MI. Is stunning 😍 We loved it there. Went to so many beautiful waterfalls there and then to Pictured Rocks 😍. I'll never forget it! Looking forward to seeing where you head next😊❤
It sure is a stunning state!
Glad you're back camping. I didn't watch very much of cabin life. I felt so bad about all your trees and hardships
Thanks for watching the camping videos!

What campground was that close to St Ignace? We love your cabin videos too!
I have a brother that lives in Michagamee , would be a beautiful spot in Michigan to stay at…

A small battery operated blower makes short work of the dirt and pet hair.
It sure would!
What year is your new trailer?
2016
@@LivingLargeCamping I love your trailer
Can I live with you guys? I promise I'm a good guy you guys make me feel happy and that is what's missing in my life

Trust me, noone has missed your bathroom reviews!!
Outstanding Living Large is back and I did enjoy all the cabin videos!!🇺🇸💪🇺🇸
Thanks Dave! We'll still mix in some cabin videos, just trying to balance our channel!
The Eastern end is pretty but it's nothing compared to the Keweenaw Peninsula and Lake Superior.
We're excited to get over there one day soon!
The mosquito 🦟 could have carried us away when we were in the up in May
I believe it! We saw they were horrible this year
