Victoria, I just had to do a rescue recently on a wool sweater that shrank in the wash and this is what I found. 1) combine cool water (it isn’t really heat that shrinks the fabric, but actually agitation from the washer causes the fibers to constrict and if enough, even turn to felt) in a bucket or bathtub combined with a generous amount of a gentle children’s shampoo or conditioner 2) add sweater and let it soak in, do not agitate or scrub at the sweater, leave it for 15-30 min 3) remove sweater and empty the tub, squish sweater against edges of tub, but do not twist or wring out the sweater 4) place sweater on towel flat on the floor and roll the towel and sweater together - think like a Swiss roll from the side 5) place sweater on a dry towel and gently stretch the fabric, at this stage I even put on the damp sweater to check my progress 6) let air dry the rest of the way out of the sun and away from direct heat - kind of a long post, but best of luck!!
Can you do a video with basic (high end/easy to match) pieces to start a wardrobe? I’m attempting for a minimalist (mid/high-end) wardrobe, but I find it too hard to come up with ideas. Love your videos! x
I LOVE re-organization videos! FYI I constantly rescued by my portable steamer/wrinkle release spray. I bought it for a trip but use it at home always. My iron is in a drawer...somewhere...
Just found you...adore your personality and ur closet 😍😍😍 you can hang a few floating shelves on top of your hand bag collection shelve, thats a lot wall space and display your bags beautifully.

I know that you already did a video like that but since you have a deep knowledge of fashion, I'm sure that will be so interesting to watch. Moreover I really admire that you have PHD and it is so amazing that throughout your videos (and your blog!!) I can also learn more about fashion and fashion marketing.
Get a steamer! I bought a $40 one almost a decade ago and it's a life saver, especially for items that require extra care. When I'm getting ready for work in the am I turn it on and can steam items quickly.
If you soak your sweater i lukewarme water with some fabric softener if could stretch out a bit again! (remember to soak it again so you make sure all the softener gets out)Good luck! :)

Just wondering why you hang all your knit wear as opposed to folding it in a drawer. I was always told it would stretch out my knitwear to hang it. Is it a matter of drawer space vs. hanging space?
Yeahhh I just don't have much drawer space! Anything super chunky I have a couple of drawers under my bed but everything else is hung in the wardrobe. Alex still has to have room for his things too haha xx

I've mentioned them lots in favourites videos over the years, they are brilliant! Super sturdy, the wheels are so smooth and even better I can always spot them on the luggage belt at the airport! I never use anything else! xx
I sometimes do depop some items if I have the time (and they are in good enough condition!) and can make a little more money for the BHF but December is just a little too crazy to be able to right now so giving straight to the BHF is the best option :)xx

Jumpers can be hung but by draping the shoulders over and the middle. Loads of videos on it. Where your big handbags are put up floating shelves.or another idea. Is to put in panels to enclose the end of shoe rack then put in shelves to display them. Store your summer pieces in your empty suitcases, and switch them for winter items in the summer.
Hi Vic - don't apply heat to cashmere or wool (natural fibre) clothing if you want them to relax, it stresses the hairs and may permanently cause the damage. There are cashmere/wool conditioners (or even hair conditioners) that will work if you soak the garment in cold water and rinse gently. I've ruined so many of my clothes by accident so hope this helps.
