9:44 isn't that some kind of interference on the catcher? You surely can't grab a guy by his belt to slow down so you can attempt a tag?

That is a tough one to call. He appears to have grabbed Machado's belt to slow his own momentum running past third. But where would you place the runners? If you call the obstruction (Type 1--obstruction on the runner a play is made on), you have to place him at the next base past the one legally touched, so Jones gets home and Machado (who last touched second) gets third. What actually happened, it appears, is that the belt grab was not seen and so the trail runner (Machado) is called out for two runners being on the base simultaneously.
