If you don't want to risk getting robbed, make sure you knock the guy out or never fight again. Once again he could get up to 170 mill or more so who cares what Bob Arum says or does. - People keep saying that Floyd will just pick Manny apart easily. Here is what I understand so far:
- Floyd is making roughly 40 mill a fight in purses alone and then 25-30 mill on top of that from PPV
- Floyd has been offered 100 mill to fight Manny in purses alone and should this fight be a PPV world record, he could cash out another 60-70 on top of that. 170 mill in one night.
- There is absolutely no reason for Floyd to wait it out to fight Manny in Floyd's last fight because there will be no significant raise in the purse. Floyd is extremely rich, why be so greedy and try to scrape every dollar, isn't 170 mill enough?
- Is Floyd worried about being robbed? Doubt it, one judge robbed him against Canelo. If you don't want to risk getting robbed, make sure you knock the guy out or never fight again. That will always be out of Floyd's or any boxer's hands.
- Is it because he does not want to deal with Bob Arum? Once again he could get up to 170 mill or more so who cares what Bob Arum says or does.
- People keep saying that Floyd will just pick Manny apart easily. After watching the Mosely fight and Cotto fight, if you still think that, stop watching boxing. Floyd knows its the biggest risk of his career and therefore will try to push it away, he does not need to fight Manny, he can fight Khan and whoever and make 60 mill from each fight.
I just think Floyd does not want to lose his 0 and he knows that Manny is the most likely person in boxing right now who could potentially end that.
I personally think Floyd would probably win but just about because Cotto gave Floyd hell so imagine Manny who hits even harder, faster and in combos each time with unreal stamina?
