So far I have not noticed any changes in what I can or cannot tolerate. I just went back to soft foods within the last week, so it's still new but so far so good??
I had the surgery 7/26/22 and I’m just entering purée as well. As for the protein drinks they are now started to make me nauseous maybe because I have drank so many. I think the flavor of them matters as well. We just have to take it one day at a time. I’m tired of cream of chicken and chicken broth as well. I’m on here trying to find ways to eat what’s required to maintain.
Dont know if anyone will answer thos. I had a dental extraction gone wrong so I can't chew anymore. So I have to puree what I eat. Your recipe looks good but how do u get past the lack of texture. I do smoothies, but once I try and blend food I gag looking at it. Any pointers as I keep losing weight which is dangerous for me. Thanks
Well my best advice is, a person does have to eat and it doesn't look the greatest, but it is good once you try it. Sorry to hear about your dental issue. Best of luck to you.
Sandie Mom I am in the same boat. hard to figure out what to eat! this is why i am looking at puree ideasto see what i can do, i live off oatmeal, potatoes, eggs, and i puree cheerios in blender and drink my cereal like a shake! also weetabix is easy to eat. anything soggy really. for pasta noodles, use vermicelli and break them up real small, then add a sauce, you dont have to chew, smash food with fork which badically chews for you. toast is ok also, again use a fork and take tiny pieces and allow to dissolve dont take large amounts of any food not pureed for risk of choking. try stew also, smash the stew with a fork and eat. pancakes, same thing. your fork helps a lot. any other wuestions feel free to message me 😊
Pureed food was not the greatest but it sure beats liquids. The good thing is that stage doesn't last long and you slowly move back to regular food. Thanks for watching!!
Looks a mess. Doc had me on spaghetti carbonara 3 days after, no puree needed. Go from liquid to soft to normal. This stage is just a mess and not needed.
Trust me, it's needed for a LOT of people. That's just your surgeon and your opinion, but lots of people worldwide who have undergone bariatric surgery would get severely sick if they went to soft/regular foods right after surgery. You also increase your risk of dumping syndrome AND tearing internal stitching so please don't say that "this stage is a mess" when it is an essential for others.
Thank you for sharing. I just had my surgery 3 weeks ago. Needed that.thank you
5 days post op and I m dying to reach the purée phase. It’s something that this video came up because I said taco meat was going to be my first meal.

Love the video. Do you happen to remember the name for those cups?
So I have a question since I'm only allowed 1/2 cup of puree food tomorrow first day.
Is it 2oz of protien then two oz of veggies??
I start my pureed stage next saturday
Just allowed to eat purée thanks for this video
Yes please where did you get the cups
I ordered the cups off Amazon, I do not remember the exact name or brand but if you look on there you can certainly find many different ones.

Sherri Smith on here has some videos available. The Chicken Parm is actually good. You just have to get over the looks and you'll be fine.
@@macrathoon-125 I just found this, ty for ideas. Sry your in same boat. How can I contact you. Do you have an e mail.
Any set backs after eating this?
Do you do the math and measure to know the calories or just eat 4 oz???
Could you make it make liquidy and how would u do it? I can only eat through a straw, so I don’t think I could eat this through a staw
Try adding more sour cream and taco sauce
And red hot if u like the spice
Do you find that you have to overseason? I find pureed food very bland.

@@@thenorthsleeve5159. I have dysphagia through 2 PE's and COPD. I'll always be on pureed food.
@@HippyJohnWales that's sad I'm sorry
Don't add water. Use beef broth in place of the water here. Water just waters down the taste, broth adds more taste.
Congrats 🎉
🤗🤗🤗
Where did you get your bowls from?
The dispensary. 🤣🤣🤣 jk
