How can the pad work consistently when you place it on the uneven surface of the sand? Shouldn't you do this on a level surface?

ctteddy9888 the surface doesn’t matter. The response is the same from the horses whether the surface is flat or uneven such as arena footing.

@@murdochmethod But you were looking at how the impression was made into the foam, and the foam was tipped up to the lateral side so naturally there would be a bigger dent in the raised side.

Watch at about 10 minutes. The left pad isn't level and I thought you were using this to see what the hoof print would be made in the pad, as in what the horse's leg was doing above the hoof.

@@ctteddy9888 Obviously I am demonstrating how the pads can be used and things to look for so given the intention of the video - the idea that one can see the weight distribution on the pad is the intention. If you wanted a really accurate impression for purposes of veterinary or farrier work then yes, you would want to be on a flat surface. However the horse is typically not ridden on a hard surface and he adapts to the surface he is on, while at the same time he has habits as to how his places his hooves. You are welcome to use the pads as you see fit to get the most accurate impression here I am simply pointing out that one can see that when using the Hard SURE FOOT pads.

@@ctteddy9888 agreed, also i thought it was strange how the pod wasn't exactly centred under the foot, if he lands on it with his heels in the dirt, of course he's gonna load the heels instead of the toe cuz half the pod is sticking out front and elevating the toe lol
