Come join us on the rugged north shore of Lake Superior and explore the relics of this once vibrant industrial village. Flashback to the building of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the early 1880’s, a time when Canada was just a few years old. Learn about the incredible hardships along 200 miles of arguably the most difficult and dangerous stretch of railway construction in Canada.
Lyle Nicol, who spent a number of years in Jackfish during his childhood (1950s) takes us on a sentimental journey through the ruins of the once prosperous and happy little village. It was full of life for seventy-five years until attacked and destroyed by change and tragedy. In a few short years it sadly earned the title, “Ghost Town.”
