Man i think this little ditty is perhaps one of the most profound things Beethoven ever wrote.. the orchestration is so invigorating, yet paradoxically it has the most longing filled yet hopeful lyrical melody.. Why does it have to be so short?! Oh Beethoven..

haha.. I just came across a translation into english, the opening lines are "Full of joy, full of sorrow,"... what does that say of Beethoven's ability to communicate musically?
