So what does he actually do?. We've seen the demise of Wasps, Worcester Warriors and London Irish. And, how do you manage to lose 39 million quid?. Where's the money gone?.
This type of executive/ CEO culture is rife right throughout the world. How can you pay out bonuses when the organisation is haemorrhaging money and in the red. The recession 2007 was a classic example of financial organisations paying out bonuses when they are being bailed out by the Government.
Ah yes, so even though the premiership is brilliant right now and clubs are trying really hard, you abandon English rugby because of one man. What a fan you are mate
The Premiership as a product is still very strong as Newcastle beating Saracens has shown by all means watch Top14 or URC for the entertainment value but don’t let one man ruin what is clearly still a strong entertaining product despite the financial troubles
If you want to chalk the loss up to RWC yr than laying off of the staff is quite inexcusable as the RWC yr should have been factored in Apart from Sweeney, we need to take a look at the board as they decide the pay
Just to be clear, £180,000 per year would put him in the top 2% of salaries in the UK. The additional £800,000 he’s being paid, well that’s probably for his “intangibles”. And imagine how many other inflated salaries there are helping him achieve his spectacular successes at the RFU. Dream Team 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They like to say that they earn so much because of their responsibilities etc. Therefore the loss of revenue should be divided up between these "bosses" and deducted frowm their salaries/personal assets...
These positions should be held by people who love the sport . This reminds of corruption in SA. Theft, how many hours did this parasite work every day ?
Even if Sweeney had hit all the targets his salary is absolutely disgusting in a sport where hundreds of grass roots club houses and first team pitches in the country could be redeveloped with the money that’s been spent on these bonuses. The game is in absolute crisis in England. And don’t console yourself with the women - they are one of only two proper professional sides the other being NZ. It’s hardly an achievement for pros to beat amateurs.

If you're the CEO of any organisation, and get rid of even 1 worker to "save costs" and then pay yourself a bonus - straight to jail

So that’s why Twickenham prices are utterly ridiculous. Greed ruins everything!
At least we know where the money for our £120+ ticket prices and £8 for a pint of Guinness are going...
Theses greedy old fools are killing rugby selfish fools ?
The salary is feckin unbelievable
Sweeney may well pop up as PM next - getting paid a HUGE amount for doing absolutely nothing. Get the blighter out!
Does this scandal show the RFU needs reform?
There’s a petition going around for him to be sacked
Good he should be gone have u got a link for that petition?
Where’s the opposing petition to sign for him to be promoted? 😂
@@KandiKlover yeh I’d be pretty happy with him too if I weren’t English
To sack him . . He will have to be paid off .. COSTLY
@@christianmccann9400 to keep him would require paying this guy bonuses every year despite doing a bad job… COSTLY

Beaumont and Sweeney: deceit, greed and gluttony personified.

This is why I have no interest in English rugby now. I'd rather watch the Top 14 or URC
great leagues!

South Africa and Argentina is way better anyways.
@@KandiKlover what does this even mean there is no major Argentina league and SA teams just bottle URC finals 😂
Sweeney and SB are wasting England’s rugby time! Both have to go, to move forward in the RIGHT direction!!!

Pigs around the troughs.
Perks of working for the richest rugby union, at the expense of 3 Premiership clubs getting axed over the years.

No wonder the normal working person is finding it difficult to buy top match tickets due to cost
Shameful
Sorry why are we surprised. Corruption equals prison.

This should be a job of passion. No salary needed other than basic costs.
Just greed…………..boring game anyway……….every time there’s a scrum I lose the will to live……………can’t watch anymore.

You can't have 5 times less. It's called one fifth!
The fans need to stop buying tickets. Send a message.
No wonder more and more people is moving away from a dying sport that could be gone by 2050 more clubs folding than created
