These heavily edited thumbnails don't help the narrative either 🙄

Thinking of the unfair double standards those idols are getting, (G)I-DLE's Tomboy reminds me of the whole message that defies double standards. The lyrics that stuck to me is "It's neither man nor woman".

Don't u think u edited wonyoung's pic too much??? Ik she's thin but don't exxagerate her situation, if u feel any sympathy for this female idols, respect them even if u hate them. They are struggling afterall. I'm not an Ive fan, or wonyoung fan this is my first comment about her but the k-pop community makes use of her so much for clickbaits on YT.

Aint no way homegirl got eaten up for holding a spoon like a cigarette wth is wrong with people😭. I already knew some types of these double standards which is why I feel bad for most female idols, i'm hoping with time they won't get attacked for the stuff they do fr

There's way too many double standards in kpop. Mainly coming from fans. But truth is, most people don't know what a double standard is because they love it to the fullest and get mad when people call it out. Kpop stans are the worst people, I swear

Wonho was heavily criticized by K-Netz for showing his body “too much”, but he’s more the exception and not the rule.

    1. Lie, Taehyung has been criticized many times for his faces just like other male idols
    2. It may be, but you have to remember who is the one who criticizes. The girls are criticized by the general public while the boys are praised by their fans. It is not that it is a double standard but that the public is different, although there are cases where people are hypocritical
    3. True, but I've seen male idols say the same thing
    4. It depends on the company
    5. You need context to understand why Irene was criticized and rm was not. Irene was criticized for her male fanbase and as we all know in korea feminism is not well seen while rm was praised by female, korean and international fanbase for which they were obviously happy.
    6. More false impossible, both female and male idols suffer the same. I remember how they criticized suga and jimin for gaining weight, also why would male idols be criticized for being fit????? Most of the girls don't try to be fit, they just stop eating and it shows more because of their clothing.
Don't act like girls' chores are easier than boys' chores

      A lot of times actually

  • @roguex9469

Actually I do believe it because it happens worldwide even outside of the entertainment industry. Ask women about their professions and if they believe they are being treated equally to their male counterparts, they will tell you "no, yes, maybe, and probably not because there is a wage gap."
But the wage gap exists because there aren't enough women taking up male dominated jobs so there's a gap there as well. For the most part women make less than men.
