@@B9TL205 I wasn’t referring to the replacement, I’m talking about the big overhaul the ‘92 stock is currently undergoing as part of the “CLIP” (Central Line Improvement Project)
I should soon make a visit to London to film, witness and hear the classic motors before they get taken down for a minor refurbishment. I'm going to miss them when they get removed.

Enjoy them whilst you can, they’ll sadly be gone when the stock is overhauled.
The central Line is my local line and it sounds great, but the 96 stock motors by Alstom is way better

It is just me, or the '92 stock is the only London underground EMU, that has the Cardan drive motors. It sounds so great though

I think Paris had a very similar sounding train on its metro too back in 1995 anyway.
