I think all guitar players should learn to do their own mods, rather than going to a technician. I like to know exactly what's going on inside mine 🙂 I really appreciate your videos where you explain and demonstrate the way different pickups sound - they provide inspiration for my own experiments. Have you ever tried flatwound strings? D'Addario do a fairly light set, 10-50 i think, and they last forever as well as sounding really good. You can't really bend notes with them but i like the way they've forced me to play the correct note instead of being lazy and bending to the right pitch lol. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks Neil. I just bought a Pat Metheny jazz guitar which has flatwounds 11s on there...so I'm trying this in my own "collection" of guitars now...don't know yet if I'm going with them or changing to normal 11s.... 🙃
