That’s awesome!!! Appreciate the info. Love your videos. Wish I had the soil to grow durian. I’m in Aranyaprathet. I still might try to bring in better dirt down the road. Depends on the local town. They don’t like you bringing in dirt from other villages. Keep up the work! Appreciate the info
@@AmericanThaiChad normally the farmer would sale there a b grade to the exporters the c and no grade they only give 60 to 70 b per kilo so the stuff you see being sold on the side of the roads are just that and this year I'm see it sale for up to 220 per kilo and as little as 180 depending on the ripeness the stuff ready to go bad is the cheaper .I plan on doing the same .all of our dropped fruit and c grade under we will retail our self
Thanks For the video Terry, really enjoying your farming videos! Would it be possible to make a video on your pump and irrigation system? Looks really good. Cheers
Grafted durian are about $100-$125 a piece here in Hawaii. There are few grafters and fruits are very expensive so getting the seeds is also going to require an investment. Shading the trees, having an excavator dig the hole, make the mound, mulch.. each tree is costing me like $300 or $400 each to install.
Hi Terry, looking pretty good, but wondering about the amounts of sprinklerheads, do you think it’s enough when the trees grows bigger? All the farms that I have seen all use two or three heads per tree, we’re using two one each side of the tree a meter from the tree, I consider that it can reach the roots when the tree getting bigger, normally you are talking about tree roots is at least as big as the crown of the tree, but maybe there is different conditions in the soil in Chanthaburi that I don’t about. How long time do you watering the trees a day? Best regards Hr. Mortensen Phitsanulok
As of now each sprinkler head has a 3 m radius. I designed the system to expand by adapting 2 heads per line so I'm ready for this .As for how long I water for that depends on the moisture in the ground .I check this weekly .normally I run them for about ten minutes and that's about 50 liters .as of now I water every 3 days .
Sir, it looks like you're paying a lot of labor to mow the lawn. In my hometown, some people cover the weeds with a film that can block the sun so that they can not see the sun and die naturally. I don't know if this is useful for you
I thought about putting plastic around the trees.the trees are 15 months old now once they get to 30 months old the grass cutting will be less . At that point then my tractor will be cutting the grass in the middle

Definitely try to grow some , this year the exporters are buying from the farmers for 180 b per kilo crazy price
@@TMDurianfarmer Whats your thoughts about selling a small amount retail? Worth the hassle? Have you research it? Just curious.

That is expensive .The normal Thai farmer can't afford to farm durian here they would faint after hearing the cost in Hawaii

How much does it cost in total, excluding land purchases? including planting trees, water supply systems, agricultural machinery, and weeding.
About 35000 USD
