The most logical thing would be a reduced compression ratio forged titanium high performance internals for a 5.5 liter v8 DOHC32 valve engine for three reasons : 1 reduced emissions 2 reduced fuel consumption with a twin turbo smaller engine block and 3 lighter weight save weight where possible.
I think you may be right on the money if GM decides to go with using the LT6 configuration. Itll be the best of both worlds I feel. Thanks for commenting! 😎👍
1st motors are single operation devises electric motor. Internal combustion engines are guess what/// engines. Hello GM will not go with either engines you talking about.. they will probably go with one of the two basic engine platforms. They could go w the pushrod plat for or the overhead cam version-if they go with either of course they will lower the compression ratio. They could put a Std crossplane crankshaft and change the firing order with small pistons and or reduced stroke crank etc etc..
I think it will be twin turbo 6.2L V8. But that begs the question why they wouldn't just put in the 6.2L SC (LT4) engine....I doubt it will be the 5.5L LT6.
Z06 is 670hp..anybody that has turbo or supercharge the c8 has not hit 700hp..so how are they going to boost 495 to 850hp with 9lbs boost which is same boost on the c7zr1..no way to get 355hp on turbo the c8 without huge turbo,s or ridiculous boost..they were only able to hit 755 and this is to low against the z06 hp..would have to at least hit near the 800 mark.
Thanks Gordon! And yup im planning to get a ZR1. 😎 I already have my name on a few waitlist but one has me locked in with a deposit and a low number so Ill have a reasonable chance to get one maybe the first or second year its produced. I can wait!
What do you think of this new info on the ZR1 and the potential twin turbo setup? Comment below! 😎
We’ve already heard the car at the ring… it’s definitely NOT the 6.2.. sounds just like the LT6
They aren't doing very well with the e Ray and constraints
Why are they having corvettes competing against each other one model after another and another?
They have since the 90's

How many people buying these super hot C8 it's all for show😅
I think they will boost the LT2
If GM decides to go that way, it will definitly have a good chance of being reliable for sure. Thanks for commenting! 😎

Corvette should have a deployable rear wing down trunk shape, up when moving.
That would be an amazing feature if GM went that route!
should be called a LTT1 instead of LT7 that way its easier to identify the turbo variants
That would make a bit of sense if that was the case 😎
Outstanding! Great video. Are you going to be in line to get a ZR1 when they are released?

Blablabla…..😑
Great information
Thanks bud! I appreciate it! 😎
They haven’t even fixed the problems with C8 after 4 years
What problems are you referring to, I have 2 of them and have no issues whatsoever.
Transmission issues
@@fjb1012gm's trucks are plagued with transmission issues. And have for years.
I think it will either be an LT 6+2 electric motors on the front like E-Ray,… or LT4 plus 2 electric motors on the front
they stopped the LT4 production in corvette since 2019
@@readyon3506 really? What’s in the CT 5 blackwing?
@@rossbone2323 That's LT4 but GM claimed that they won't use LT4 or LT5 in the C8 Generation
It won't be affordable for the average Joe ! 🥸
nothing is affordable for the average Joe in this economy.....average Joe needs to step up his game.
